A Spectre of The Zealous Mind

[Chastity]

I wake up early. The rain has stopped, and the sun is gleaming hazily through the windows. People are already up and starting to leave the confines of the makeshift shelter. They will venture out into the streets again and wander around, trying to find a way to live. I wonder at the fact that they would be leaving so soon, since I have not told them that they have to go. Maybe they are so used to being outside of buildings that they feel awkward or trapped inside of them.

Gheran is not around, but Aries lays curled up underneath a blanket on the floor. I place my blanket on top of him and start to walk around gathering up pillows and blankets that have been left behind by those that occupied this place during the rain.

I have a renewed vigor. I know that there are people out there that need my help, and that I can make a difference. All this world needs is for some people that care to step forward and show it love. Even if no one else will, I will do this.

[Lachek]

Lachek walks into the Ministry of Terror. Things have been dull, and he needed something to do. Red Infinity have always been the type to give some sort of job to a wanderer with a lust for blood. There are always loose ends to tie up. As he walks through the hallways of the large, black building, he senses the presence of a vampire lurking somewhere. He smiles for a moment, his bright teeth slicing through the dingy air. He thinks of Kaieka and her escape from him so long ago, and thinks that this may be her. When he lets the feeling of the presence wash over him, however, he knows that it is not.

Just as well. He follows in the direction that she is coming from. Yes, it is a she...

He descends the darkened stair into the lower levels of the Ministry where prisoners are stored like unused holiday decorations. She is near, he can feel it. He adjusts the cuffs on his fine, silk shirt and peers through the gloom for her.

"Hello, my sweet... I know you are here, why not step out and let me see your face? Do not deny me the glorious vision of one of my own."

[Fascia]

Kith sends me word that my services are no longer necessary as a secretary. I am a little put out by getting fired. Me? Fired?

I leave the baby with a sitter, since Daevid hasn't been around in awhile, and head down to the Leage of the Godless. I haven't seen Keitoleinen for awhile. I feel bad for not visiting him as often as I should. He did ask me to, afterall, and he is my god.

I go to his office and knock on his door. I am flooded by visions of our last encounter, and become a bit flushed.

[Dahlia]

Dahlia walks around her apartment, puting things in order, her answering machine shows no messages. She starts to fix a salad in the kitchen for supper. Her mind is distracted. She still feels horrible for leaving so abruptly the other night. He must think that she is an aweful person. She was just so scared and confused and hurt.

Dahlia gathers all of her nerve and decides to go and knock on Adrian's door. If he isn't there, then there is no harm in it, and if he is, then maybe she can appologize and try to explain things to him.

She walks out into the hallway and lightly knocks on the door, barely loud enough for anyone to hear. She gathered all of her nerve, but that doesn't mean that she had much nerve to gather.

[Anutsaka]

"Well, it is besides the point to mourn over such a material object,"Anutsaka says, staring at the destruction.

Then, turning to the Kegai, he asks,"What is your name?"

[Keitoleinen]

Keitoleinen answers the door.

"Hello Fascia....why so glum. Getting laid...off...can be a good thing. I will gladly have you... as my secretary."

[Rodthingy Maestro-Reborn]

"ill be right back," i say to my partner, as i have a place i must go

I teleport to Chastity's make-shift shelter call out to anyone inside. I have disguised myself as a beggar, and i will see if she will help someone in need.

"Hello, can someone help me." I cough, pretending im sick.

[Valodya Bassarov]

Bassarov leaves the church and sees Sephos. There are many things to do for the concert, so he is writing another chore list for the rebels.

"So, what have you been up to Sephos?"

[Fascia]

I catch his not too subtle innuendo, and smile.

"Keitoleinen, I would be thrilled to have you... as a boss. I would carry out your orders however you desired. Do I need to fill out an application?"

[Aristarchus]

I hear a rap on the door.

-"I can handle this."

-I walk to the door.

-"Hmm...why are you here, you know that god helps those who help themselves."

-I sense something different about him. I am not sure what or if I like it.

[Sephos]

"I have been thinking, writing, and smoking mostly. Tell me Bassarov, what do you think we will accomplish with this concert? Do you really think that we can get the separate groups opposed to Red Infinity to agree on anything? It seems as though our efforts might just be swallowed up by time and regarded as useless."

I take another drag on my cigarette. I don't want to be a downer, but I have genuine concerns.

[Rodthingy Maestro-Reborn]

"Is it too much for an old man to ask for a cup of water, my friend. In this day and age, it is the best i can hope for. My name is Rageroth, i seek only that which i have asked for. It would be greatly appreciated."

[Keitoleinen]

"No, I know that you are skilled. I will hire you without that messy paperwork. You can start right away. You can have the office across the hall from me. I will have you go through the files we have on "The Eternal Light" a new peace organization that is spreading foolish ideas on religion." Keitoleinen smiles.

"I do have the evening free, so once you are done, we can do whatever you like..."

[Chastity]

I walk up to the door and hear the man talking.

"Come in. Certainly you may have a glass of water. All are welcome here. There is no food right now, but this evening there will be some. Come in and sit down, rest awhile."

[Kai]

Kai looked at both of their hands. They were done.

"Finally..." Kai mumbled, "We better go tell Bass that we are finished here."

Kai put his arm around Kisa's shoulder as they walked back....
