The Dream of a Ridiculous Man

[Valmont]

I park my car and walk up to the house. I stop by the door straighten myself up a bit and knock.

" This is Doctor Sabastian Valmont from the Ministry of Health, I have a...gift for the girl. "

[Seppo/Loviatar]

I run down the starirs, and open the door.

"You are from RI, how do I know? And, what exactly do you have, for her?"

[Valmont]

I stand outside the dorr a bit uncomfortable, not being able to come in without an invitation. But I try to manage a smile none the less, though it comes out a smirk, they all do. I pull out my RI I.D. badge and hold it out so he can see.

" Is that proof enough for you? "

I but the badge in my pocket again.

" Like I said before I am from the Ministry of Health, I am here to give her some pills that we have developed to help keep the godess in check...and ease her pain."

[Seppo/Loviatar]

"Right, fine. I guess you can come in."

I lead him inside, to a couch, and motion for him to sit down.

"So you say these will keep the goddess in check? Will they work for anyone, or just her?"

[Valmont]

I sit down and pull out the pills in a small container there are about 20 of them.

" They've been esspecially designed for her, but I supose they would work for anyone else, just not as well."

I pause.

" I could make more, it's reletively easy, all I need are the specifications for a person, you know, height, wieght, sex, blood type, things like that, nothing serious. But, I'm pretty sure that she is the only one on Earth with this....particular problem."

I lean in.

" There isn't anything you'd like to tell me is there."

[Vaara]

Vaara looks at Caine and watches as Seppo gets up. Just as shes about to answer him he darts downstairs. She chuckles at him. Then she heard the voice again. It was weak but overbearing none the less.

~You little fool. Someone is in the house. Whatever they try to give you do not take it. Hear me girl don't just listen. Do not take what they give you it will make you sick.~

Vaara did not know what to do. She would do as Seppo and Lunar told her. That was all there was to it unless.....Seppo had said they can come out. What if it happened while she was with someone she loved. It seemed her fear of the events and the strong love she had for her friends was the only thing holding the goddess at bay.

Caine someone is in the house. But he is not hostile. He will come for me up here. I will make him wait i think... She did not know where she found the words but she had spoken them. It was not like her at all.

[Roane]

Grove said:

"Aye. I was alone, but not alone. I was always with mother, always comfortable, warm, and always knowing that I was looked after and loved. But, eventually one must move on, and venture out into the world. It just took me ten-thousand years to do so."
Roane thought she caught a slight smile on his face, just for a split second. Now any hint of it was completely gone.

Roane looked at him and smiled back even as his had faded completely.

I long for that feeling...to be loved and protected and kept. I suppose i am the way i am because i was not treated so before. But i am not bitter. I am passionate about my work and know it is because of my upbringing.

I am glad you chose now to do so Grove. I am enjoying our conversation. It is nice to meet others who are as dedicated as oneself.

[Grove]

"Yes indeed. I too am very pleased to see that there are a few that still care for mother. I was worried that none such people were left."
His head turns to her slightly as he starts to walk directly becide her.
"You proved me wrong on that assumption, much to my suprise and delight."

[Roane]

Thank you. It is hard to find those who are dedicated. I know it was just Nabiki...thats my friend...and i for the longest time. There are not many others who look at it the way we do. Although i am a bit darker than she. So how long will you be here. I hope you will not be leaving as soon as Jyin did.

She likes having someone around who does not pester her about her kills. She moves her hand refreshing her grip and smiles. She wasn't leading him anymore and felt a bit embarrassed now. She blushed.

[Grove]

"Ney, I will not be leaving any time soon. In fact I have no intention of leaving until mother is feeling significantly better. That means finding Jyin, and it could be decades before he shows again."
Grove's grip was increadibly soft for being made of stone.

[Seppo/Loviatar]

"No, No! No. I think I understand. I'll see you if we need some more for her, hu?

Thank you very much doctor, this will help her very much."

I bid him out, "I will call you if I need anything pertaining to this issue."

I walk up the stairs, back to Vaara. Seeing the other man, I become worried again.

"Um, Vaara, We need to talk, alone."

[Caine((Mæda))]

i glance at seeppo NO.... i mean that wouldnt be good... for either of you two... . i look at seppo then to vaara. ... i already know what is going on... there is no point in consealing it from us.... nabiki here is a minister.... i glance at nabiki and frown. .. if you must... i dont want to get in the way of your job... hopefully we'll meet again soon.... i turn back to the kids.

[Seppo/Loviatar]

"Hum, so she tolod you?

Vaara, you cant just go around telling people like this. I didn't even tell you at first, did I? It is a secret that must be kept well."

I glance over at the other two

"Well, then, Vaara. I have something ot tell you, good news."

[Roane]

She squeezes his hand a bit.

Thats good......Well we are almost at the church but i wonder if perhaps you might like to take a small detour? I know of a quiet grove of trees. We could go there and speak. I do not wish to coop you up in a building for longer than i have too. And my friends have not yet returned. It has a river too. We could sit and talk and admire it all

She looks at him smiling. She only wanted what was best for her new friend.

[Vaara]

Vaara is upset. She did not tell. Caine just knew. And the fact the Seppo thinks she told makes it worse.

Seppo i did not tell him. I don't know why he knows. I didn't tell. I know its a secret. *then after a pause* Seppo what news?

She goes up to him and looks him in his eyes. He's slightly taller so she has to look up. She smiles at him.
