Losses From The Prevailing Darkness

[Silver Crystal]

Oh, well I'm going to meet him sometime.

Silver says. She looks at the ice patch waiting for some one to trip on it. She then sees a fairy give her a thumbs up.

Ahh... who is that?

[Grant]

Grant had been traveling along the streets when something caught his eye. A man holding onto a fire escape ladder.

This intrigues me greatly. I walk towards the man. I see he is not ordinary and very dangerous. I smirk. If i could get this man to help me kill the rock it would be easier on me.

"Hey man, What are you doing skulking in alleyways? The names Grant....."

Ok so i might get killed or hurt really bad but i figure it was worth it. This guy looked like he could skin someone alive and not make a face.

[Ridthingy]

"Best to act like you never saw me," Ridthingy said coldly, ignoring anything that this man had said, merely realising her was addressed.

He stared at him through his goggles, ascending the ladder slowly.

[Mistress Dragon]

"Ah, I think.. that's Cathie!" Mistress waves back. "You were just a baby, remember a fairy who stulked Aris? Wait, I don't think you know Aris either. We really need to get you up to date on dragons."

[Machiavelli]

Mac looks at Cathie and scoffs.

"Disagree all you want...Obviously you have had everything given to you. Only when you have to sacrifice something does anything mean something. Say for instance you were given a car...well if you had earned the car it would mean more to you because you actually had to put some of yourself into it. Just like anything else worth having you must sacrifice some of yourself and lose something in order to gain my dear.....Thus what i say is right...."Without pain without sacrifice we would have nothing"."

She must not be familiar with any struggles of any age...if she was then she would know what he meant by his remark. He looks forward.

[Silver Crystal]

I can't wait to meet them. Maybe they like to casue a little chaos too...

Silver says now getting excited. What better then to casue chaos with another dragon. Think of all the chaos they could casue in minutes. Silver grins.

I make my way through the city. I sensed and energy signal but then it disappeared. Now I don;t sense anything. I am worried about all of this. But I continue my search through the city.

[Grant]

Grant leans against the wall.

"Hiding are we? I see you have a RI prison tatt on your forearm. I take it you jumped the joint. Just so happens i can help you out friend. Want to hear my proposition?"

I could make it seem he was with me even if he wasn't. I didn't care if he was rebel or RI...i needed muscle and this guy had lots. I know there had to be someway i could keep him out of prison while i needed him. Afterwards i could let whoever wanted him have him...but for now i needed hired help.

[Ridthingy]

Ridthingy released the laddered and dropped back to street level.

"I'm listening," he said calmly. He had no intention of befriending this man or even helping him. But it was hard to pass up a free ticket out of Helsinki or at least to somewhere elsewhere in the city.

I recieve an envelope from the judges.

"3rd place goes to Akira

The second place contestant is Cathie....

and first place goes to Machiavelli.....!!"

I step back and let the contestants make their acceptance speeches.

YOu do not have to sacrifice to gain something. YOU can gain with out sacrifice. You have some truth but you do not have to sacrifice all the time you make it as if you have to sacifice to get anything at all... And I was not handed everything to me I worked for mine. EVeryone I guess does have to sacrifice but not all the time that is all Iam saying. I should of say that before sorry.
Cathie thinks to herself she have her whole family for her dragon....well a dragon. She bit her lip at the though of her family putting her in that coma for all thoses years. She guessed she did sacrifice herself, and her family becuase she love another race. This whole thing as starting to bug her but she keep on smiling. She didn't want her bothering self ruins anyone elses day even Mac. Though it probably won't bother anyone at all.

[Silver Crystal]

Silver claps loudly for Mac.

He won, of course he did. I can't believe no one clapped for him before.

[Grant]

My hair grows short and my eyes change color.

"Well it seems i can take the price off of your head if you like. I only ask for one thing in return. Help me kill someone. You seem the type who could handle it with ease. Then i will keep the po's off your back and you go on with your life however you choose."

He could keep the police off of This mans back but he could make things worse as well. And with the decades he has had he isn't in the mood to be tried.

[Kaschei]

"Congratulations Machiavelli, we will have to celebrate later...."
Kaschei winks at his dragon then when others look at him, pretends he had something in his eye.
"What...what is everyone looking at? Hmmph!"

[Machiavelli]

Mac Laughs heartily and looks out to the crowd. He sees his sorcerer wink and blows a kiss acting like it was to the crowd and not just him. He had not expected this. He had not thought that he would win when his remark was bulls'hit. He would not kill Lin Sat...he might eat him but thats only because he was hungry right now.

They put a crown and cape on him. He felt utterly foolish.

"all i can say is that i did not expect to win. I only did his to make someone else happy. I guess this shows that when you do something for someone other than yourself you will in the end get some sort of reward. Thank you."

He felt so stupid. He wanted to get off of the stage so badly.
