I watch Kaschei as he walks back to his desk. How I despise that man! If I had my way, I would torture him centimeter by centimeter until his very nerves cried out for mercy. As it is, I simply smile and say, "Why Kaschei? Are you interested in my wares?"
I step into the room and lean against a bookcase. His comment about Bassarov catches my attention, of course, but I have spent much time lately thinking about how to deal with my whole "Bassarov situation" and am pretty sure that I will try to ignore it for the time being. Seeing Bassarov wouldn't be a good plan... not after I killed his lover, he is sure to have hard feelings.
"Actually Kaschei, I was wondering about that assistant of yours, Illiden. I was hoping you could tell me where I might find him."
Even speaking the name of Kaschei leaves a bitter taste on my lips. I continue to smile as I think of the intollerably cruel things that I would do to him if I were able to.

"The world is that big..." A voice says from above. A shadow detaches from the ceiling and flips over. Kakashi brushes off his sleeve and glances at each of the others in turn. "I was looking for him myself. We need to have a chat."

I look at the strange man who has suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He looks like an elf, but there is something different about him. He reminds me of someone, ah, but I can't think of who it is.
"It seems as though Illiden is quite the popular young elf. Perhaps if my good friend Kaschei here tells us where we may find him, we might be able to beat the masses that are surely waiting for their turn with the mage as well."

"I say not if I find him first Kaieka. Don't look suprised, I know who you are. I suppose you want Illidan for another attempt at a relationship. Too bad about last time."
Kakashi shrugs, closing his scalet eyes and laughing coldly.
"I guess you've lost some of that old kick eh? Well time makes fools of us all. You can come with me if your looking for the kid, I'm sure to find him soon enough."

A'sshole. Oh well, Kaschei isn't seeming overly friendly, and this arrogant elf may as well be my guide to Illiden. I need to meet some new people... all the one's I know are creeps.
"Sure elfman, I will follow you to Illiden if you have some innate sense of where he is. Is that just an elf thing or some special power of yours?"

"You cut me to the quick Kaieka. I don't know where he is, but I will find him none the less." He bows slightly then stands once more, posture tilted to the right, arms crossed over his chest, his eyes the only part of his body not hidden under clothes or cloth wrappings.
"I am called Kakashi. Now, we can wait here and talk or we can find Illidan."

I walk away from Patrick and Janele since Pat seems busy with his woman and I don't want to interupt.

"He is on a mission right now to capture Kallen." Kaschei mutters as he reads his book. He is not overly concerned with the situation. He continues to read.

"We've already left." Kakashi looks around him. They are no longer in Kaschei's hall but in a strange new world. Purple smoke curls around them and, though there is no ground, they are standing on somethign solid. Images, like windows, fly around above them, showing places and things in seemingly random fasion.
"Welcome to Between. We are everywhere, and nowhere. This is the layer between all existance, from which all reality can be seen. Finding Illian will be simple, only matter of time."
He turns slowly, seeming to see and order to the random images. "Watch the images if you like, but do not touch them, and do not wander off. There is nothing but infinite nothingness out there."

Akira and I walk around the city looking for Cleannis. "She is the muse of music I think. Sounds pretty lame to me." I sigh as we walk the streets of Helsinki.

"Infinite nothingness... that sounds rather like my life..." I say this quietly, to myself as I watch the pictures whirl by on all sides. I see landscapes and faces of people, animals, storms rising just above the horizon. Some of the pictures are lovely, and I wish that I could just reach out and enter into them, becoming like one of the smiling children or happy families, instead, I stay still and watch as the scenes pass by. The happy pictures are mixed with scenes of violence and war. For as many smiling children that I see, I see another ten or twenty that are crying or starving. I do not want to step into those pictures.

We walk up to Violet's office and she is not there.

"There," says Kakashi. He waves a hand at one of the image, which soon vanishes into the smoke. "Let's go."
And instantly they return to the world, appearing from nothingness directly infront of a suprised Illidan.
