Shattered Dreams and False Hopes

[Lemminkainen]

After a long meal with Destiny, I decide to go check out how things are going with Hope. I leave parlor, and walk to where there is a bunch of rubble. I see Hope and Genovia fighting. Wow, Hope is really tearing it up! I hope Destiny doesn't mind that I left her the bill... I see Zex.

"Good to see you little dude. Hope is kicking her a'ss!"

[Genovia]

I fall onto my side, keeping my wounded eye closed tightly. I roll back up onto all four paws. I stagger a little. Blood from my eye drips down off my face into my mouth. "YOU WILL NOT DEFEAT ME, YOU ARE JUST A MACHINE!!" I open my mouth and emit energy at her. Since she used her energy shield a bit ago, I start taking out humans. Most vacated the area. I see Zex on some rubble and fire a large energy blast at him. In a rage I jump at Hope and wrestle her to the ground, rolling her over with my sharp claws. "I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU, DIE DIE DIE!!!" I blast her again with my attack. I blast wildly in every direction taking out trees, stores, children, houses, trucks, and whatever else happens to be in the area. When I am out of energy, I turn back into a human and huff loudly. I am sweaty and my lungs struggle for air.

[Hope98]

My energy sheild blots out most of her attacks and my self repair function has already mended the claw marks in my chest. I stare at her. She is wounded. She can see from only one eye. She is exhausted as well.

I look over at Zex, who is now laying on the rubble pile. This infuriates me. The section of the city we were fighting in is in ruins. Limbs of dead humans poke out from the large chunks of concrete and brick.

"For all you have done, I am going to kill you now!!"

I run at her, and kick her in the face, dislodging some teeth. When she falls, I kick her again in the side. I hear ribs break.

"I will show you the same treatment as you showed my friends!!!"

I kick her again. Her body rolls over a few times, leaving a trail of blood.

[Vaara]

Vaara was talking to Bengal when her body began to hurt. The voice inside wanted out. The voice inside needed out. Vaara contained her but knew in time she could not. They had to get this thing out of her before she killed her...or before Vaara was forced to kill herself. She wished Seppo had not left like he had.

Bengal....Lunar....i am not feeling so well. I think i shall lay down for a bit. I am not sure but something doesn't feel right with me. I love you both. Please do not worry.

Vaara gave each a hug and laid down and immediately fell asleep.

[Kith]

I silently watched the fight from the top of a building. I can no longer stand back and do nothing.

I jump down from the building, and fly down between Hope and Genovia.

I stare at Hope.

"You are the one who ruined my life! You ruined everything! I was needed and wanted by Red Infinity until I met you. I let you go. I disobeyed those fateful orders...I will always regret that....for Red Infinity never trusted me again."

I wish I could go back to Helsinki. Back to the time I had Hope in my arms and was ready to bring her to the Ministry of Terror. That was the very day I killed her father.

"You took Red Infinity from me. I will not let you take Genovia. She is all I have now. I ruined things for Celeste...and so...what do I have but this evil woman who abeted my betrayal of Celeste?"

[Genovia]

For once in my life I am glad to see that idiot elf. I have enough energy for one more attack. This one will be my great last gasp attack. One for all to remember. Kith, the idiot will buy me the time I need to create it. I lay on the ground, pretending to be defeated. "uuukh...listen Kith...I am sorry...for all I did to you...and to everyone....it just hurts so much...it just hurts...." I close my eyes and start gathering my last energies.

[Hope98]

"She is evil. I intend to kill her. If you do not get out of my way, Kith. I will kill you as well."

[Louhi]

With in the recesses of the childs mind Louhi had tried again and again in vain to overthrough Vaaras senses. It was the medicine she had taken. It forced Louhi down into the farthest reaches of the childs psyche.

Louhi did not like being ignored and inprisoned. She could feel however that her followers were trying to free her from the disgusting bonds of this measley child.

A smirk formed on the lips of the dark sorceress. The goddess of darkness laughed inside of the childs head, a thunderous echoing sound resonating through and subsiding only moments afterwards. Louhi would give the girl a dream of what was to come. She would have the girl so scared and so miserable that she would gladly give up the goddess when the time had come.

~Vaara stood in a field. But the field was partly concrete as well. She looked over in a pool of water and saw the dark beauty of Louhi staring back at her from the glass. A twisted smile on her lips and malice glinting in the black holes of her eyes.

She could not control the body...Louhi had been released and was in utter control now. Vaara was as Louhi had been when the child took the pills.

Louhi came upon a pit of people. They had been beaten and broken. They begged for food and water. She motioned to a man and he threw a corpse to the people and they hungrily tore at its flesh.

She walked on as towers of flame sprung from the earth and smoke filled the blood filled streets. Mortals hung on walls of crumbled buildings flayed. Their skin open the muscle glistening and the blood seeping forth down them in rivulets. Louhi touched the muscle of one and his cries of pain made her smile even more. Such music to her ears. She brought her hand to her face and licked at the blood.

Louhis looked up to the sky to see her dragons in all of their glory sailing around and causing havoc. One, a black Dragon Vaara recognised, Stopped infront of his mistress and offered her a ride. She mounted her creation and they flew catching towns on fire and killing dozens of people at a time. Louhi laughed maniacally as she heard the dragon eating on and the crunch was very loud.~

The girl twisted and writhed in her sleep. Louhi knew the girl would not wish to keep her now...and Louhi would get to be in the host of her choosing this time. A strong warrior. Not some meek child.

[Kith]

"Hope...look at you. You're friends are dead. Everyone in this city's section are dead. Hasn't there been enough death. I have killed many people in my life time. I only now regret that. But I changed...it was that change in me that allowed me to spare your life. Now, please return the favor. Just as I spared you in Helsinki, spare Genovia now. There have been too many deaths today."

I am starting to sound like a lousy pacifist.

But my feelings are so jumbled.

I don't want Genovia to die.

I can't live alone, without Celeste or Red Infinity. She is now the only thing left for me.

"I watched Genovia kill your friend Genki. Do you know what his last words were? He said to Lemminkainen...tell Hope to show Genovia mercy. Even Genki saw the good in her. Would you betray his life and kill this woman?"

[Lemminkainen]

I cradle Zex's body in my arms.

"The elf dude is tellin' the truth Hope. Genki really said that."

[Hope98]

I look down at Genovia, so broken and defeated. I also look at Kith, who I dislike. He killed my father. I would like to punch a hole in his chest. But, he is right. Genki was a friend of Genovia's. To his death, he believed in peace. He died for peace. I can be above revenge.

"Zex, Lemminkainen, Kinyo-bi...let's go....there is nothing left for us in this city. Maybe we can rejoin the rebels...."

I walk away from Kith and Genovia to my friends. I want to turn back and finish off Genovia, but no. Kith is right. There has been too much death today.

"I want to find Calithin first...he went to his mother. I hope she will be okay."


I begin to walk away from all of it.

[Dinari Dollar]

"You sure showed her!!"

I run out from my hiding place and put my arm around Hope.

"Why don't you all come to my mansion. I could use a body gaurd like you Hope!!"

[Kith]

I crouch beside Genovia, seeing as Hope and her alllies are leaving.

She looks so beat up.

I begin to heal her wounds.

"We should leave Red Infinity together Genovia. I am no longer welcome there. You never really agreed with them anyway. I want to be with you. I am glad that you admited you were sorry just a bit ago. You know I do love you..."

[Kinyo-bi]

While inside Genovia, Kinyo-bi had sensed deep roots of pain and hatred, such roots would be very hard to rid without killing the host. He trots up the street, and sees Kith intervene between Hope and Genovia. Kith really is something else to be indoctrinated with all that, and still come out as he is. Kinyo-bi turns to Hope who is now being harrassed by Dinari. He decides not to say anything, since he never liked that capitalist.

[Talice 'Black Widow']

Talice had ordered her team to go on back to their lives since the chi kage attack was such a waste. Perhaps soon the LIF agents might resurface and they might get to prove their worth. She comes up behind Darith smirking.

"Why yes it is Darith. What else have you learned my submissive. Anything useful?"
