When The Darkness Returns

[Peter "The Owl"]

Target location readjusted. Location moved north and east. Uploading.

Peter banks hard, aiming for Chastity's new position. How she'd moved so fast was beyond him but he had to find her again.

Please be okay, please be okay...

If she was hurt... he didn't know what he'd do.

[Requiem]

Requiem floats around near the edge of Helsinki and sees two people. Some guy and a girl. The guy doesn't seem to happy. Requiem touchs down to the ground and runs over to him.

"Hey, you don't seem too happy. What's the matter?" She tilts her head staring at the man.

[Aristarchus]

-I shut my eyes and sleep. This hole in my stomach will heal with rest, but for now...I need...to rest.

-I think of Chastity.

-I worked at the soup kitchen with her. I tried so hard. but in the end I failed. Well, it is all better now.

-She is gone and no one will have her.

-This is the end of her story and life, now I can have rest and peace.

[Gheran]

I lay down in the grass, and stare up at the sky. If there ever was someone who deserved to live, it was Chastity... She wouldn't harm another living creature on this planet...

Red Infinity... Needs to be changed... The best way to do that is from within... I now, more than ever, believe that I've made the right decision to join the Ministry of Peace. I notice a couple of new comers standing nearby. I sit up and smile at them.

"Hello! Oh nothing, someone I cared about was just mauled by someone from the league of the godless..."

[Peter "The Owl"]

Peter hits the ground running, reaching towards the little blip on his scanner. He slows to a stop, falling to his knees at what he sees.

A charred body... and Aries impaled on trees overhead. Peter's brain refuses to process this. Chastity should be here but there is nothing but a burned body...

The Hunter kneels over the body, tears streaming down his face like rain water from roof gutters. It is her... she's gone... the one time she needed him, truly needed him and he hadn't been there...

Peter kneels and weeps in silence, staring without seeing anylonger. Denial and sorrow battle in his heart...

[Hikari]

I smile genuinly at Set, before turning to Lady Violet. I sit by her on the couch, and then i turn to Doreamon.
"Thank you for everything Doreamon, will you be leaving or staying here?" I ask with a small smile.
I sigh and relax, my muscles sore from being so tense. Which ws weird for lil ol' me.
'Good news, Hikari! Tsubaki is not to put that spell on us!' Dark Hikari smirked. I smiled mentally at her and nodded.
I was not really listening to the news, my mind was zoned out. I rested my head on Lady Violet's shoulder and closed my eyes peacefully.
I smiled softly as she asks me about a story, and i nodded.
"I've always been a fan of the Fox and the Hound. That one disney story/movie... or if not then maybe Snow White." I whisper sleepily.
I hear the doorbell and was about to answer it but Lady Violet beat me to it and answered it, the conversation between the guest and her i did not hear.
She then came back and sat down. I grinned slightly and closed my eyes. Almost falling asleep.

[Artemis]

The perky like girl is slighty scary. I really want to cook her but I resist.
-Who mauled her, exactly?-
I perked up when I heard that it was someone from the Godless bunch.
I really want to read this guys mind, but since Im not all that good at it, I might burn a hole in his head instead.

[Requiem]

"I'm sorry. Arin't you sad about it? I hope he ro she was a good person. At least they died for something they believed in whatever they did. At least i hope they did."

Requiem says kneeling down infrount of the man. "What's your name? I'm Requiem."

[Chastity]

[Lady Violet]

I go to my shelf and pick off a copy of Snow White in story book form. "Set, why don't you read. It would be good for you, and an experiment in interacting with children." I hand him the book. I know he will read since he is loyal to me and never disobeys. I sit back down with Hikari.

[Gheran]

It seems as though Requiem cares, although I don't know too much about the other one...

"He's a dragon named Aristarchus... I just... I couldn't do anything to stop it..."

I must somehow be desensitized to tragedy, since this isn't bothering me nearly as much as it should. My mind is racing too fast, replaying what I could've done differently, for me to mourn. I look up at them.

"My name is Gheran."

[Requiem]

Requiem smiles placing a hand on his shoulder. "I am happy to meet you, i hope that you will find a way to move on with your life but always remember your friend and keep them in your heart." She says.

[Artemis]

I gasp slightly. Aries... father... I crack a smile and turn away.
I walk back to where I see acid has burned thr ground and touch it. It burns my fingers lightly but now I can track him. I can finally see my father.
I change forms again and look at the humans.
Then I take off and follow his scent.

[Akari]

I smile brightly, excitement was obvious.
I grin to Set and nodd quickly.
"That would be nice, good suggestion Lady Violet" I say with a small smile.
I lie down and rest my head on Lady Violet's head. I sigh contently, and close me eyes. Ready to hear the story and ready to picture it in my head.

[Set]

"I uh... of course, my lady..."

I take the book and open it. I would've prefered to guard the perimeter. I turn to Hikari.

"This is the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves... It's about uhh..."

If there was one thing I knew nothing about when it came to humans, it was children. If there was another thing I knew even less about, it was their literature.

"Seven dwarves... How about I just read it?"

I begin to read the story.
