Standing By A Vanquished Light

[Peter "The Owl"]

Peter's FOF scanner spikes, a alarm flaring in his head. He spins and is hit full in the chest by a lance of darkness.

Flying backwards, his sheilds dropping like a paralized falcon, Peter curses letting his guard down. With a bone crunching smash he strikes one of the buildings nearby, pinned in place. The last of his sheilds drop away and the razor point sinks into his chest, pinned through where his heart would be.

Pinned to the wall Peter tries to move. The wall he can't move forwards or to the sides, he's trapped by the lance of dark energy.

i growl and i transform back and start walking down the street. , going outside of the barrier, i put my claw onto the paper and it desintergrates. d**n scared bastard...., should have atleast stuck around.... i jump up and teleport to a roof top, i glance around as i run back to the spot where kaze was

"That information is classified, however I can say that Red Infinity destroyed far less of our resources than they thought during the war. Your work options are diverse, we employ covert operatives, assassins, researchers, developers, this matyrbayts over here," I say, gesturing to Dinari, "and of course there's no reason you can't do more than one thing..."

I am extremely weakened by my attack, but I manage to get back on my feet and walk over to Peter. "I know I cannot have defeated you that easialy, Hunter. What to you plan to do now? You know that I will hunt you until you are dead, so why resist? Surrender and face the conciquences for defying the FRA and REd Infinity for so long..."

"I suppose there are still bases and secret weapons stashes, but..I dunno. I mean, Red Infinity could attack their United States Territory at any time. They don't since we don't do anything to anger them. I am afraid to anger them if you want to know the truth."

I cross my arms and wonder why Red Infinity is not attacking the FRA yet. It puzzles me. I mean. I suppose right now we are strange bedfellows against LIF....

i sit on the roof and look down at her, smiling. i reach into my pocket and pull out a small packet which was folded, i frown slightly. ..., why did you attack me..., . i open the packet and unfold the papers, i never really took the time to read them, i glance over them. heh, its hard to beleive that i have something to thank you for peter..., if it wasnt for you. i wouldnt have met kaze.... i stand up and glance around, trying to catch his scent. my vampire left, but i could tell he was still fighting.

"Yes, Red Infinity is a very powerful goverment. I'll think about your offer. I'm not sure what i could do but i am a scientist." Minako says placing her hands on her hips. Joining FRA would give her something to do, but would also put her on Red Infinity's kill list if FRA angered Red Infinity which will probably happen.

I wake up inside a building type place. My throat hurts. I feel a scab on my adam's apple.

" Where am I? " I ask nobody.

["Zero" Americanski]

"Minako, we need someone of your skills. If Red Infinity does attack us, which I find rather unlikely, than we have plenty of dispersal bases that they do not know about. You will be protected and well compensated for your services."

While Minako and Zero are talking I check my email. I have another message from Wyrm who tells me to meet Irvine and give him the money. I am supposed to meet him in Helsinki.

"Well, I have to go get Richie. So I will probably stop by the rebel meeting while I am in Finland."

I use a teleportation booth to go to Helsinki and I wait there with the money to meet Irvine.

"Well, i need something to do. I'll join then." Minako says plainly crossing her arms again. "Do i have to like sign something to join?"

"Yes, report to Langley and we will interview you. You should be able to start working within an hour of signing."

I see what looks to be Dinari Dollar outside. I walk up to him.

You must be here for the kid. Hold on a second.

I point to the kid laying on a bench.
