Oh, I agree that Emo is a form of expression, then again most music is a form of expression.
I have Fallen by Evanescene, so I know what I'm talking about when I say that they aren't gothic.
And Metallica, everything from the Black Album and back was excellet. St. Anger, Load and Reload are total crap. And they do sue people for stupid reasons, but we're not talking about the band's character, we're talking about their music.
You bring up a good point about the grammy's, but when someone does win a grammy, it doesn't mean that they suck. I don't understand how you think that an original band like Rage Against the Machine, isn't good. Then again, your preference is your own, which is why there are so many different types of music genres.
I also don't think that Rock is Dead, as some claim it to be. However, it definatly has been shot several times, and is bleeding to death.

I would not use such drastic words...but there is somthin in it, Rock inour time is being, well, just ignored...I'm afraid if this keep up Rock'n'Roll will be hermetical closed music known to only few...but let us loose no hope Rock'n'Roll is live and kicking.. And rage against the machine got Grammy becouse they are commercial that's all.......

Right, there is some good rock, like some underground bands still make rock great, however a good majority of rock artists, and bands, sell out for the money. This is why I say that Rock is Dying, that 'passion' of rebellion and what not, is fading.

I don't think rock is dead. I just think rock is in a drug-induced coma, attached to a feeding tube and respirator.
It's been capitalized and sanitized. There is still a potential for a comeback, but rap has basically made off with rock's danger factor.
I'm not saying that a grammy means a band sucks. A lot of good bands have won grammys. However, it is not a sign of excellence.
I dislike RAtM because I find them to be hypocritical. I also think that their music can be sort of annoying and repetative. I can't understand what Zach de la Rocha is saying without reading the lyrics, which can be a problem for a political band.
I don't like most metal, although I like some Black Sabbath. I also like some KMFDM.

I hate pop and that s'hit they play on the radio. I'm sure we can all agree with that. If anyone here doesn't like Pink Floyd though, then just kill yourself.

I like indie pop music a lot. Bjork is really fun to listen to.

Bjork is fun to laugh at. Another person you can't dislike is Bob Marley. No Woman No Cry, good stuff. Buffalo Soldier, also good stuff. I Shot the Sheriff, I prefer to pretend Marley didn't do that one...

Bjork has made some of the trippiest music. Her videos are really cool too. They have really neat concepts. I really respect a good video. It's one of the reasons I like Missy Eliot. I am not a fan of her music, but she knows how to make a good video.
Bob Marley is really cool.
Does anyone here like ska?

Bjork is wierd and I dont understand her music at all, but she's worth a few laughts, Missy Eliot she's fun becouse she makes fun of every one else ans she's a women who, you might say, deffends her right to paaarttyyy...pop music rally I mean relly sucks (well there are some exceptions...) becouse it is just popular music as its name says "pop" this music is made for the money and without any ideals, a sick child of the 80's and 90's I wold say...And remamber Pop Suck, Rage Against the Machine really sucks...Velvet Revolver rocks, Ozzy is the best...Slash and Tommy Iommi are best guitar players in world...and above all Freddy Krueger is better then Jason...

I have a question that sort of comes out the blue...
What exactly is Indie Pop?
Thanks in advance to anyone who answers this.

Bjork is weird. I don't laugh at her unless she is trying to be funny. I really think she is a creative person.
Indie pop is music that has a pop influence, without being popular, if that makes any sense. Another name for it is noise pop. It's a post punk genre that is related to emo, but is not emo. Some examples of indie pop bands are The Flaming Lips, Dub Narcotic Sound System, Some Velvet Sidewalk, Pedro the Lion, and Emergency & I.

Oh come on...I like some songs on the radio. Like Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional. But despite this fact I also listen to Time And Time Again by Chronic Future.
Songs on the radio are ok, but I HATE boybands.
I also like Kayne West and people like that. Bjork is ok, I don't like here that much. Killing Miranda and Paradise lost are some good goth bands. And some good rap is on the radio.
If you know about these bands you know that most of the goth bands I listed were UK bands. I don't know why, but I tend to go for United Kingdom Goth bands.
