Runic ducks left then right to evade the first two knifes and raisies his hand. Just before te knife hit's his eyes widen and he rolls hard. The weapon cuts deep into his forearm guard and nicks his shoulder as it passes Runic, a half inch from his face.

"So, what they said was true. You can seal the powers of others..." Runic stands and takes his combat stance. "A suprise. But surpises only work once."

Zinn can't catch the sword. It cuts her bandaged hands, but she misses getting her hands cut off. She winces in pain. Then she gets grabbed and teleported.

"What the hell did you think you were doing, picking a fight with them? They weren't going to hurt Varsha. We were going to discuss how Varsha can't see that little girl that lives with Violet Zedung anymore!" Zinn says angrily. Her hands are bleeding, and she is going to need new bandages. "Send us back. How dare you take control of me like that. I can take care of myself you patronizing, smug fool. Varsha can make whatever decision she likes, but that doesn't mean I have to like you. Now, send us back, and get away from the library with your allies so the fight doesn't damage any books."

I decide that out of curiosity I will read both of their minds.

I am one of the strongest telepaths on the planet, and it would be nice to know what Zhuge is actually thinking. This is an invassion of privacy, but the information would be very useful to me.

I read Hikari's mind, and she is mainly happy to be with me and go to the zoo.

I turn to Zhuge, but find that he has some mental block, so it is impossible to determine his thoughts. I find that very interesting, since the block seems more complete than others I have encountered.

I walk ahead of both of them and pay for the admission.
