Slouching Towards the Nemesis

"That, I do not know, and even if I did I probably would not tell you. I am here to maintain balance. If the time comes in which he must be put down, I may join with you to do so, but until then I can give you no advantage over him."

((OK, Edea, I don't know where you learned a diplomat is, but diplomats don't give orders. You can't clear having more recycling plants built, or order us not to attack anyone. You outrank operatives, but the heads of ministries, LV, and Lin-Sat outrank you. You can ask for certain actions to be taken, and we will either tell you yes or no. I don't want to be rude, but you can't just go around ordering things. It contradicts the chain of command. For example, if my Ministry wants to say, decrease the number of obvious A.S.S attacks, I call a meeting, discuss it, and hope they decide to do what we want. Kolov has to get approval for his plans too. The only person that does not need approval is Lin-Sat himself, because everything is within his jurisdiction.))

"Well, your ministry is in good shape. I will have to do some altering on your personal history, and your reasons for joining our fine government. I will of course run any changes by you for your approval before releasing anything. Also, if you want me to create any capaigns for any of your goals, we can do it. My report says your project requires large amounts of meat. We could run a campaign in support of vegitarianism, freeing up more meat for your project. I would have to run the plan past Lady Violet, but I think it could be done," Dr Murdock says, putting her pad of paper away.

"Yes, yes, and I try to maintain the status quo at all costs. That is my job, the resistance of change. Oh it goes against some of my nihilistic viewpoints, but it is the job I do."

He drinks some of his tea and considers things

"Very well, I will press the matter no further. You are very human like in behavior. Has anyone ever told you that?"

[Void]

"It is understandable, I suppose. I have been walking this planet for centuries untold. I find a human guise allows me to gather information much easier, and I can imagine that my efforts have had a lasting effect upon my being."

[Tyhjä]

"You will soon find that it is a hinderance to your duty." He warns ominously.

"So, wanna help me get something started in the pressure cooker? We can't eat or cook after the sun goes down, so we'd better hurry."

"Well, I suppose there is no putting it off."

I dress myself in a old black suit and tie, which still seem to fit, fortunately enough. Gathering a few of my weapons and concealing them on my person, I call in a younger errand boy. Filling a large backpack with the rest of my weapons, I hand the bag to him and walk to Dr. Murdock's office, the boy trailing behind me.

"I received your message, Dr. Murdock." I say as I enter.

I shrug.

"Perhaps. Human characteristics are just like everything else on this plane. Easily discarded, and generally weak and vulnerable."

[Dr. Andrea Murdock]

"Excellent. The press release isn't for a few hours though. Do you have anyone in your organization that is good with children, or should we begin a search for the head of the Junior Anti-Sex Scouts?"

"Good. I worry about it myself sometimes. I have never befriended a mortal and am phobic that. I think it would be...disruptive to the universe."

He is not sure why he has this sense, but he does feel somehow that the connection between Void and the mortals is too strong.

[Omadon]

The is a nearly silent hissing sound and a detatched, half visible, etherial hand slowly reaches for Nigel's throat.

"Aarian!" The hand snaps away, the whole of the Wraith appearing, etherial and drapped in it's gray rags, one skeletal hand hanging from the rags. "He is given pass of the whole of Icecrown. And that includes the labs. Leave us." Omadon appears from around a huge table, stacked ten feet high with glass devices that drop and bubble and boil liquids and smokes.

Aarian hisses quietly, bows it's head, and vanishes. "Sorry about that Eckhart, Aarian is very good at what he does but not very bright." Omadon wipes something that looks much like blood and bile from his hands with a rag and looks at Nigel, walking towards him. "You wish to speak with me?"

[Ludda]

Since the Anarchists aren't paying attention to him, Ludda decides to check out another group.

He teleports to the rebel base in Japan.

"Any body home?..."

[Relentless]

"We have some operatives, but none that I have come in contact with besides Lady Olga who is... *ahem* not a children person. I am not too good with them myself, though those at my dojo," I say, pointing at my young porter, "tend to be quite respectful. Perhaps searching for a head of the Junior Sex Scouts would be a good idea."

"Interaction with mortals is good for you. It lets you stay abreast with what is going on in the world. Something I need to do in order to maintain balance."
