He manged to wriggle out of her grasp as he toke off, she reached out after him.
She was alone again. Laying there she trembled, she didn't like to be alone, she was to vulnerable.
"I thought...." she cruled into a ball still trembling. "I don't want to be alone. Bad things happen when I'm alone."

Kaschei holds his head in anger as he sees the same vision given to him by Gamayun. The bird told him clearly that the world would die when he dies.
(This comes from Russian myth that the sorcerer Kaschei was told in a prophesy that when he dies he will take the world with him.)
He sees the frustrating thing. Getting so close to the goal and losing it. Losing it in humiliating defeat....
"When I lose I will be sure everyone loses as well, the stake of my defeat must be so high that no one will risk it....." he shouts in deffiance.

"No, you are a good fighter with your paints and stuff. But no, I don't want you to get hurt. Heck, I don't want to get hurt. But it seems like something important." Garret replies. He thinks about staying back from the fight, but he is a rebel, and this is something that he has to do.

She pulled away from him looking him in the face as she stroked the side of it with her hand.
"Then if it's important to you...I'll go. I'll try to be as strong as I possibly can."
She sighed deeply as she tried to get up using all of her energy. She hugged his arm to her like a security blanket. "Where were they going?"

"Since you have been such a well behaved prisoner, you can leave a few days early if you do a task for us. It is not a pleasant task. We have been burying the bodies of prisoners in a forest a few miles from here. It is a mass grave with hundreds of bodies. But....some villagers may find the grave so we need to relocate the bodies to a more remote location. If you help to move the bodies, we can release you early, Thomas."

The iris Ruwai smiles widely.
"Fantastic. You can follow me then."
Hayven leads Thomas out of the Ministry of Terror. They get into a truck, and Hayven drives the cat demon a few miles out of Moscow.
When they get to the site, they are first met with a horrible stench, and then a team of workers.
"Thomas, you will work with the workers here, uncovering remains and loading them into the truck. They will be dumped at a secret location closer to what was Volgagrad."
He hands Thomas a shovel and some gloves.
Now get to work

What does he mean if something happens we'll be together?
She squeezed his arm and looked at him then reached up and brushed a few stray hairs from his eyes. "Don't worry..."

"Well...uh...nothing. Don't worry abou it. With all the other rebels there, we are sure to kick Zwei's nazi ass." Garret replies. He smiles fakely and starts to walk towards the door.

She knew something was wrong he never talked like that.
"Are you sure? If they are short a rebel or two that won't matter." she pulled on his arm to make him stop. "Garret...I'll go in your place. You stay here. I can handle them."

Then, the real Andrew is in control again. He gets a very panicked look on his face, and then he teleports to the cave. Or at least he tries to. apparently this cell is a null zone.
