I step into the alcove and remove my jacket, handing it to Hikari.
"Here child, make yourself useful." I say coldly.
"Now then, Violet, I can see that you've been busy working on the Zwei case, but I grow impatient. When I give an order, I expect IMMEDIATE results."

"I followed your orders as soon as I returned to my office, sir. It is often up to the operatives themselves to complete the mission in a timely matter. But I will do better next time." I say in a very sweet tone.
In truth I am irritated by his behavior. He has been acting colder towards me recently, and I don't blame him, I fear and generally dislike him.
Never the less, we have worked together since I became the head of the party five years ago and we do have a history.

((I'll assume I'm in human form at the moment, which is a man in blood-red robes with fiery red eyes and short black hair, holding a massive shield (about the size of a tower shield) made from the skulls of several oni and a massive No-Dachi that can suck up blood.))
"Because I choose to," I reply disdainfully, surveying the being before me.

I quirk an eyebrow but take the jacket anyways, hanging it nearby.
I sit down on the chair I had pulled out earlier and keep quiet as they talk.

Mind your thoughts, wench.
I say, my eyes flaring with anger.
Perhaps your operatives are flawed. Certainly it must not be difficult to locate this "Zwei." Should I make an example of someone in order to show them that I expect perfection? Perhaps this girl might make a good sacrifice.

"Because you choose to..."
Grove's face almost reveals the anger beneath the stoic expression.
"I choose to protect this forest. I choose to protect what you choose to destroy. I know that I am bound to my choice, but you are not. I would much rather you 'choose' to do something other than destroy what I hold dear. What I am. So... Leave..."
He did not sound irritated, nor threatening. He said it in a monotone.

"And if I were to choose otherwise?"

I continue to smile politely.
"Hikari, maybe you should go home."
If you touch a hair on her head, I will fight you, even if I die. I think that the masses would not be too pleased with that, would they? I keep all of this together. I am the one they rally around. I reply telepathically.

I furrow my eyebrows slightly and nodd.
"Good day, Violet, Sir." I say to the both of them politely, while bowing.
I teleport home quickly.
((Night!))

"Then my choice would require me to take action against you."
Grove continued to look up at him. Once Grove had made up his mind, that was it.

I look disdainfully at the little girl, and then turn my eyes to Violet, a look of intense and focused anger in my eyes.
Do not forget who rules this party. I can have you and all you hold dear purged in an instant, and there is nothing you could do. Let the masses rise up, for I will put them down with my might and all who might oppose me will suffer my wrath.
My eyes seem to widen in horror slightly, but immediately return to a cold and calculating expression.
"The air has grown rather stale in this room. I will take my leave. Remember, Violet, I expect results, and I do not enjoy it when people do not come through for me."
I grab my jacket and teleport away.

I move to my desk and stare out at the wall blankly. I stare for a long time. I am shaking. I think of Hikari. She is the thing I cherish above everything else.... even the party, though I can never express that well enough. My eyes water a little and I return to work.
"Look at me. I am too strong for this. I am...above this and know that I have a duty to do."
I look over some reports and check up on the dragons.

(s'kay) Heaven-lee's heart began to beat faster, "It's possible that they haven't been admitted yet? How so? It's already been ten years..." She remebered it, too. She was only seven and had seen it as she got off the bus.
flashback Rubble, smoke, charred wood... she had stood in shock at first, then began to run towards it until someone swept her up in their arms as she kicked at them to get away and screamed for her parents. She was placed in the back of a police car like some criminal and was brought to the family home. That was the first time she experienced numbness, as she realized what was happening. Everyone thought it odd how she calmed down suddenly and came to terms with it all. The truth was, she was just avoiding it all. She'd never gotten over it... end flashback
"But.. yes. I wish to go..." she answered.
((Gotta go early. Night! ^-^))

"Do you think I fear you, little man?" I ask disdainfully.
"However, I do grow weary. I shall spare your pathetic little forest for twenty-four hours. Gather any allies you wish, and I shall do the same. When I return, we may continue our little game."
I am engulfed in dark fire, and my true form emerges, streaking off into the night sky.

"Yes, Earth has suffered strict sanctions due to the actions of gods like Ukko. To protest this, the General Organization of Dieties, or G.O.D. for short, no longer let souls from Earth pass on to Taivas." I explain to the wiccan.
"Okay then, I will take you to the afterlife." I turn into a swan and place her on my back.
I then fly towards the north horizon until the worlds meet.
I cross the river Tounela and drop her off on the bank.
