So the world is ending, what else is new? I guess that means I need to throw a big party and spend money while I can!!
I call up all of my friends and invite them to my mansion
"This will be the best party ever!!"

Impatient with waiting, Keitoleinen teleports to Celeste's location.
"Calithin is dead. I have not sensed his energy since Helsinki was destroyed. He was in the city at the time."
Keitoleinen seems a little angered by this, but the emotion is only very slight.

I walk along with Ezra and Raz. The strange, spikey-haired little boy decided to not join us for coffee. Coffee probably wouldn't have been good for him anyway, stunts the growth, and he certainly doesn't need that at his age. I hope he will be okay. I hope his parents are around here somewhere.
"So... we drown the machine in Yoohoo and recite poetry to him... and then he will disappear?"

Bassarov wakes up, but lets Mischa sleep in. He returns to the site of the machine and sees that nothing much has change. He tiredly looks up at the machine and his thoughts begin to drift again. Once again, he finds himself thinking of Kaieka.

"I am not sure what can be done. I only know that when the machine halted when Garret sang that song, therefore, if we can incite some emotional response from the android components, we may be able to halt it once again."

Bassarov closes his eyes, and when he opens them, the machine is gone. He is standing in a black void and Kaieka is with him.
"I'm sorry, I just can't get over this. I know this is for the best. I know that you can't be in my life right now...or ever again.....what can I do? Why has all of this happened?"

"That makes sense."
We get to the coffee shop and I order an espresso.

The vision of Kaieka approaches Bassarov and reaches her hand up to his face. Her hand hovers an inch away from his skin, as if she cannot actually touch him.
"But I am with you. You carry me around inside of you. I will never actually leave you. I could never leave you."

"But you are dead. It it carrying around dead weight. It slows me down and makes things so much harder...." Bassarov replies.
"It makes me feel sad and guilty. I would like to reject this world, or at least have a few realities, so I can make everyone happy."

"Life is hard, Bassarov. You cannot outrun the pain, it will always follow you. Pain clings to its bearers like a funeral wreath. The only way to lay it down is to end the life to which it is attached."
