Leon arrives at a coffee shop to meet a certain "Ezra Weil."
He sits and waits.

Ezra notices a stranger enter the coffee shop, the man looks familiar. Perhaps he is a member of Eternal Light. Ezra gets up and sits at his table.
"I think I have seen you before. Are you...a member of Eternal Light? My sister's boyfriend in the leader of that organization."

"Yeah. Im a member. Is there a peticular task that needs doing? Im all for it." He said while ignoring the waiter bending over to try to take his order.

"I am just a member myself. I am also a member of Hagana, an Israeli nationalist group. What is your name? I am Ezra Weil."
Ezra sticks out his hand to shake with the stranger.

He eyes the hand and after a pause says,"I'm Leon." He then looks at the puzzled waiter and impatiently tells him to 'leave.' "And, let me guess, you are Ezra Weil. Well, does your sisters boyfriend need anything?"

I lie on my bed, staring at the wall. As my mind wanders, I think of that odd man who I've been seeing for most of my life. I know I am adopted, but I have a feeling that the man knows something about who I am. The thought both excites me and terrifies me.

Kaschei appears outside of the boy's bedroom and knocks on the door. It is time to have a chat with him. The chronomancer freezes time, so his parents sit like statues in the living room. The only two people in the house who can move are Mitya and Kaschei now. Even the family dog is frozen in time, lapping at its water dish.
"Mitroshka Nadyezhda, open your door. I will not hurt you, but have some information for you."

My expression changes slightly, indicating my interest, though it is imperceptible to the untrained eye.

"The machine unit is controlled by a hologram named Unit 4. According to reports from the Mossad, the intelligence agency I work for, Unit 4 was not even created on Earth. She was created on another planet. Therefore, we are not sure how to defeat her. So far, a direct attack has been useless."
