He had taken himself to the forest which the Green Party called home. Or, what had been of the forest. He felt saddeness at the sight of so much death. Should he remake it all now, the machines would see its magnifecence and destroy it again. Only when they had been pacified could the forests once again be safe.
But an early start wasn't that horrible. A few shoots here and there, nothing special, maybe a flower or two. It was nothing worth noting. But he could do no more for the forest. He most make a guardian for this place though, so he sat on the stump of a tree and thought of a mythical beast that would protect this place wisely.
Of course! Ents, sheperds opf the trees and guardians of the forest. But to hide an ent, one must have a forest. He tsked and sighed. He wondered where his wife was.

"I think that is a Norway Pine." He says in regard to the one strange tree standing in the city. How it survived is beyond him.
"And that there is an African Sausage Tree." He says pointing at the tree with sausage like attachments hanging from the branches.
"Some eccentric person must have planted it in their yard..."
