Garret wakes up, and peers out the window at a bright sunny day. The birds are chirping so merrily, that it is hard to imagine the perils the world has faced. He walks back over to Linnea and gently nudges her shoulder to wake her.
"We should go back to Helsinki today." He says to her in a quiet voice.

"Yes..." is all I say to Bassarov. I don't know much about the undead, except for the vampire that once controlled me, so I can't tell what kind of zombies these are. "Perhaps we should just go back to the base and check on the rebels..."

Linnea wakes up. "Hmm," she was tired but got up none the less. Walking behind Garret she wrapped her arms around him and put her head on his back.

A shadow flows along the rooftop behind Nitas and Lisa, moving of it's own will, without care for the shadows around it. Slowly, the pool of darkness slides closer to the distracted pair of Bloodspeakers.

The shadow stops behind Lisa. Without a sound, a dark thing rises out of the shadow, a great scythe reaching back, ready to slice down upon the pair of devils.

The scythe and the flail lock in mid swing, pressing against each other.
Twin red point flare where the shadow's eyes should be and it leaps away, legs and feet emerging out of the pool of shadow it arose out of.
Revealed, the shadow is a human shaped creature, covered from head to toe in robes and wrappings of purest black, the material seeming to reflect and shine, like a liquid rather than a cloth. Red lights burn under a black hood, strange symbols glowing orange around the eyes, words in a unknown language.
"I want your soul, devil," says the shadow. It snaps its hand back and the scythe flows like shadow, unraveling into threads, escaping the hold of the flail, before reforming in the shadow's hand once more. Grasping the weapon in both hands, the shadow's hood turns slightly, looking at Nitas before returning it's gaze to Lisa. "You first, then him."

My battleship pulls back into port right as the last of it's fuel is exhausted. However awaiting the ship's arrival is enough coal for three weeks of operation, and food for six months. With the new fuel bunkers completed the ship is fully loaded for the first time since 1985. It's newly repaired center turret is installed, as are new cinder screens and a pair of SeaHawk helicopters.
As the fueling takes place I disembark the ship and watch the event from shore. This may well be my last chance to stand on dry land for another six months, so I want to enjoy the moment...
