An Affair To Forget

"Hell... I feel like I'm the only non-health nut around here..." I stand up and pocket my smokes. "That sounds like a good plan Xavier. As long as it doesn't take long..."

"But of course, Xavier," I say pleasantly, ignoring his tone.

"I can cook many french delicacies."

"Oh.. I grew up in America, 50 years before Red Infinity took power. My parents were rich and off at a meeting, or yelling at me for doing something wrong. Everything I did was wrong to them, I ate wrong, I dressed wrong, I cleaned my room wrong.." Mitsune sighs.

"The only true friend I ever had was my pet fox, which died when I was 14. My parents didn't care through, I suspect them of poisoning it.. then I met a man who was nice to me. He made me feel like I wasn't just a big mistake, that I was actually somebody.. But he was only after my parent's money."

She stares at the ground and sighs again. "Then, I almost craved out his heart. I'm sure to this day he still has the cross shape across his chest, if he's even alive." She had never told anybody that before, never.

"Wonderful." Xavier teleports everyone to his apartment and takes a seat in the kitchen.
"Phillipe, who were those two blondes with you? They were attractive and you know I like blondes. Are they available?"

"I would assume that madmoiselle Paris is available, she most certainly seemed to be," I say as I begin bustling around the kitchen, gathering eggs, bread, and other such foods.

"As far as madmoiselle Anna," I say with a twinge of sadness in my voice, "she is ze girlfriend of monsieur Lysander Bassarov."

Tensuo stands up and prepares to follow Koto around the rebel base.

"Thank you. Lead the way."

I smile slightly and put my hand on her shoulder. "Well I can gaurrentee that I am not after your money, I have no need for any material things... Nor do I have any desire to hurt you". I sigh and shake my head slightly. "So... humans havent changed much... too bad, I was hoping they would have learned something over the past century or two"

I take a quick drag off my cigarette and throw it in the sink, then run water over it. "Yes Anna is Lysander's girlfriend, but she doesnt help us much, either monetarialy or directly." I find a chair and sit down.

I start frying the eggs and pop some of the bread in the toaster, and begin chopping some potatoes.

Xavier gets up.
"You seem sad about this? I am sure you are better than this Lysander. Why are you so resigned to accept defeat? Ha, well if you don't want to go after her, maybe I will, I like a challenge anyway." He looks at Zero.
"Tell me about the rebel movement in Helsinki."

"We have been crushed twice in as many months. But none of us have been badly hurt as much as Red Infinity has tried. No, the big problems have been more... Personal..."

I listen from the kitchen silently as I continue preparing the food.

"Now now Xavier, it is impolite to pry into a lady's personal life!" I call out from the kitchen.

"Oh, blow ito ut your rear end." I said as I walked into my room prepared for me I slamed ithe door shut. my room was a library astyle with shelves of books. I took one out about biogenic substances and started reading it on my bed.
