"What does it say Mischa?" Bassarov wonders who in the world would send a letter like this. He becomes excited and looks over Mischa's shoulder to read.

I read the letter.
"Well... It's in Russian, for one... And umm... It's signed by..." I take a deep breath. "It's from... Leon Trotsky..?" I hand it over to Valodya.
"Here, look..."

"I think that obviously it is a hoax. Maybe the anarchists sent it to us as a joke. Sasha Kropotkin speaks Russian, so it could have been him." Bassarov says with skepticism.

I scratch my chin.
"Maybe... I don't know, these politics are too good for an anarchist to have written it... If it is a hoax, it's a very good one... Here, I'll read it to you:
To whatever remains of the fourth internationale: It brings me both joy, and sorrow, to know that in times such as these, hardened revolutionary cadre still exist. It should already be self evident that with the death agony of capitalism, your tasks should be aimed at overthrowing the corrupt Stalinist dictatorship known as Red Infinity, while simultaneously avoiding all unholy alliances with what little capitalism that remains left on this planet.
If anything can be said about this revolution, it's that the theories and principles of Lenin still hold up today, proven today, over 500 years after the rise of the Soviet Union and the beauracratic cancerous leadership known as Stalinism. With the exception of its reach and power, there is very little difference between Red Infinity and the Soviet Union, therefore the same measures must be used to combat it. Mass action from without, refusal to compromise your politics in unholy alliances, and constant cadre building.
For history has known no greater an ally to humanity than a revolutionary true to Leninist doctrine. I urge you, humanity implores you, to continue the struggle for equality. We still have a ways to go.
-Leon Trotsky

Volt looks left and right. No one is around but he still feels nervice. Well, this is where the woman Zero said to come to if she wanted to know more. Odd place.
Raising his large hand, Volt raps sharply on the door three times. He has hopes no one answers. Just talking to rebels could mean a death in a dak alley... but a man needed to stand by his convictions.

"It is well writen, though I find it highly unlikely that it is really from Trotsky. It could be from another revolutionary who is posing as him, or who used his name to catch our attention. In any case, it has caught my attention and requires investigation."
Bassarov examines the letter. It is post marked from Beijing.
"Beijing? That makes this letter suspicious. That is a dangerous place for any revolutionary. It could be from the government. We should be very cautious."

"I agree... Either way, it's worth finding out more. If it is someone who is posing as a revolutionary, then it's definetely worth investigating..."
I begin to wonder if someone like Stalin would have a hand in this. I try not to give him so much credit.

"We have to find this revolutionary. He is somewhere in Beijing, but that leaves many possible places. If only he had sent some contact information."

"You know... It's been a very long time since we've spent any time together... Would you like to spend the evening with me? We can worry about this in the morning."

"Sure, it is too late to do much anyway." Bassarov folds up the letter and sticks it back in its envolope. He places the letter in a drawer and locks it. "It is good to have you back around. I don't feel the same without you."

I wrap my arms around Bassarov and kiss his cheek.
"You know, I've really missed you... Come now, my cozy bed awaits us." I say, walking towards my bedroom, and tugging on his arm.

Bassarov wonders what mysterious adventures Mischa has had in the past two weeks. He decides it is better not to know or ask. He follows Mischa to his room, feeling tired but pleased. Everything seems normal between them, more normal than in the previous months. He feels no guilt or tension between them. Bassarov can not determine if this is an illusion or passing thing. All he knows is he feels peace.
Bassarov undresses and gets into bed. His mind roams over political developments, life, himself, the world, Mischa, and how much he would like a diet coke.
"We have a lot of political work to do, I hope you stick around for a while now." he says to Mischa as he sets his head down on the pillow.

I get undressed as well and snuggle up beside him.
"I will, my bassy-bear... That's like a teddy bear, only cooler." I kiss his cheek.
I think of how incredibly complex our relationship is. I wouldn't have it any other way.
"Good night. I love you..." I kiss his cheek again, wrapping my arms and legs around him. "I don't say that enough. I love you."

Bassarov decides not to call Mischa on his utter corniness. He is simply thankful that he has never called him Bassy-bear in any public place. Bassarov turns and closes his eyes. He smiles briefly. "Yes, I love you too, you are very dorky at times, but kindhearted. Much kinder than me. I love you, good night." It takes little time for Bassarov to fall asleep.

I smile, and nuzzle his nose.
"It's true... Goodnight my Bassaropatamus..." I say randomly.
