I smile a little, an uneasy smile meant to mask my feelings of guilt. "I WAS the Machine God! Zwei was a program. All the computers and machines were just it's apendages, and I was just a container for the program."

Bassarov listened while Erika explained the Zwei system. The whole ordeal seemed so distant even though it was only a month or so ago. He sipped his juice calmly and continued to listen.
