"I believe I have been hearing reports of heavy rebel activity in Capital City. Would that not be an opportune target?"

"Yes it would. Both these socialists, and the new FRA, have bases there. It would be a good target... Now how would you go about attacking? And what specifically would you target?"

"It depends. Only a fool fights a war on two fronts, but the situation of Red Infinity is peculiar because it is so mighty. If you would like, I can personally command an attack on Capital City whilst you attack another rebel base, possibly Lapland. Even dividing our crack troops, we would most certainly be able to cripple the rebel actions."

"The quantity of troops is not a concern, however supply is. A lot of these communists are pacifists, and don't understand the nessesity of keeping arms even in a peaceful situation... Yes you may personally attack Capital City, I will arrange some draconic help in case you need it. What is your attack plan? Are you just going to use conventional arms, or do you plan to use chemical weapons?"

"I am not too fond of chemical weapons," I say, wrinkling my nose.
"Blame it upon my 'age' if you'd like. I will lead the troops in and raid the base. Of course, those rebels that are willing to surrender will be taken unharmed so that we can undo the heinous brainwashing they've undergone, but in the case of those who resist, they will be captured if able, and slain if necessary."

"Remember that I am also from another age, yet I have learned to adapt to new methods of war. However I agree that in the case of Capital City it would be best not to use chemical weapons, as we must redevelop the American supercontinent in order to support the rest of the world." I growl slightly. Despite enormous incentives the collective farming system seldom works...

"Of course. I believe I will quietly begin to spread my forces around the city, dressing them as civilians. When the time is right, I will have them encircle the rebel bases and attack. The element of surprise should be enough to raze the bases to the ground, and if need be, I can call upon some of the more powerful Red Infinity members to lead the attacks.

"Yes. I will inform F143 that she is to accompany you. Now on a more personal note, you are familiar with Erika Faust, correct?"

"Then as you know she was the host to 'Zwei' until that personality was erased... What you don't know is that the erasure was incomplete, and somehow that program escaped. For everyone's saftey she must be put to death, yet I can't seem to get approval to do this..."

"I can understand your sentiment, but certainly she possess the right to live as we all do. Perhaps the Ministry of Science should look for a means to remove the harmful Zwei personality so we can allow the poor woman to live her life."

"We have already tried that... And she should have died over five hundred years ago. The point is she is and always will be Zwei, and she deserves to die for what she did, do yoi agree?"

"Were she the one responsible for Zwei's destruction I would, but because Zwei was responsible and not Erika, I do not. We cannot slay her for the misdeeds of another. She should be permitted to live the rest of her life in peace, albeit watched carefully. If Zwei does begin to manifest, such an option may be considered, but it should always remain the absolute last resort.

"Surprising that one of your era and culture is shy about capital punishment..." I say. "And how does one truly seperate the man from the machine? You can't. Not without killing her. And consider that at her rate of aging she could live another 4,000 years! Zwei will undoubtably resurface before then, andthen what?"

"Capital punishment is perfectly acceptable, so long as it is just. We are men of honor, General, and we would not send an innocent woman to her death. As far as the resurface of Zwei, I am sure there are many methods that may be used to prevent this, we just do not know it yet."
