I raise my eyebrow slightly as I look at him. "... um Right...". I glance over at kuroga, pleadingly. even if relentless worked for an oranization that works agianst people who have sex... he was still a male

"Well, how much has the interface bonded to Erika's DNA? If it isn't too close, we can always reset it and bond it to someone else. It may take more effort, but perhaps less time than creating another offspring or a clone to use the system."

"This was what was done to Mitya..." I say. I suddenly have an idea.
"I wonder if Mitya could operate the machine or if it requires a female operator. It is always worth a try."
I smile to myself since it seems that I have many options.
"Zhuge, thanks for coming in. It has helped me to see that I can go ahead with this project without Erika, although she may still be needed to create a clone or offspring."

"It is my pleasure. Although, concerning young Mitya, I have been noticing something about him. My observations of his training seem to show that he is evidencing brainwave activities far beyond that of most normal humans. I believe he may have a gift for psionics, though he seems somewhat hesitant to use the abilities, or perhaps unaware of their existence."

Now, look at the position Freak Boy is in. No, not the LIF and RI one. That one is so obvious I don't even need to bring it up. The position he is in emotionally--Zero is the first woman--well... non-mechanical woman--he's seen in 4 years. She is intelligent and Freak Boy is capable of holding an intelligent conversation with her. Naturally, there is some field of attraction. To top it all off, Freak Boy has finished a quarter of a bottle of vodka... do the math, smart one.

In less than the time it takes for a man to blink Peter's right hand comes up, .60 cal in hand, sighted on Faust. He pulls the trigger once and a high impact soldier depleted-uranium round rips from the barrel at hundreds of miles per hour, aimed right between Faust's eyes.
