"We still need an operator for the machine. This can be accomplished one of two ways. One, we could clone you and have the clone, who has no history with Zwei, operate the machine...or...we could have you produce a female offspring for us."

"Ich... I... nicht understanden..." My knees feel weak, and I stumble into a nearby chair, barely able to keep myself from shaking... Because I know once I have been replaced there is no reason for them NOT to let Kolov put me to death.

"It is nothing you have done personally and you can still oversee the project and act as a back up operator. I am only concerned that perhaps...your history with Zwei...could jeopardize the project's safety."

I begin to settle down, perhaps my life isn't forefit after all... "Ich... I mean I understand. You want me to submit to cloning, or to mate with Mikhael Nadyezhda again?"

I believe it would be easier to create an offspring naturally and have the aging process advanced by Kaschei. As for Mikhael Nadyezhda, that is another issue I wish to discuss with you. I understand you want him to be a part of Mitya's life, but...he is a rebel and excessive contact with him should be avoided."

"Mikhael is the boy's father, he deserves to have a part in his own son's life... I... I made sure that the son wouldn't defect to his father though..." I say, staring at the carpet, feeling miserable for lying to my son.

"I am not worried about Mitya...not at all. I am worried about...you." I say with sterness in my voice. "But your relationship with Mischa is adventageous for us. It allows you a certain closeness with the rebels that our other operatives simply do not have. Maybe we could make you a spy...."

"I could..." I say, feeling both good and bad about the concept. Good because it will give me a chance to be with the rebels, who now more than ever I want to join. And also because it would let me have both of the men I love, Despair and Mischa. I love Despair more than Mischa, however I know that no matter how much he wants to he can never give me children... Which Mischa can...
Yet I also feel bad because I would be betraying everyone, Mischa and the Rebels especially. I will once again be causing pain to those closest to me... But what choice do I have?

"Very well, you will oversee the Little Sister project, act as a backup, produce the heir to its operation, and spy on the rebels. Those will be your roles in Red Infinity henceforth. Though, I am not sure who the father of the operator should be. I suppose we could go with Mischa again, but I am don't want you to become to attached to that rebel."

§evret walked about a forest, looking for the mansion of Edea, one of the Bloodspeaker generals. He arrived at the entrance and entered to find nobody there. So, he got comfortable and awaited someone’s return.

"I understand..." I say, already regretting it. I know Mischa will have to be the father, as out of all the males that I have ever met I only desire to mate with two of them, Mischa and Despair. And of course Despair can't be the father... "I will try to do as you ask."

"Good, that is all I needed to speak with you about at this time. You may get to work..."

"Okay..." I say flatly. I stop back by my apartment and grab a few changes of clothes, two clean uniforms and several old-fashoned women's outfits. I also grab the small box that contains the decorations off my original uniform, and teleport all this back to Mischa's apartment. Once there, I find an isolated corner, sit down and begin to cry.

I expect too much from Erika, but we are short staffed. I return to my work and hope that she will be okay.

"Yes Linda, I guess that I do know many people." I turn back to the nihilists who are all very quiet.
