Despair is angry, and follows Zero along. The closer he gets to finding Mischa the angrier he becomes.
"This is the last eatery in town, they must be in this one." Despair says as he heads towards the entrance.

I slacken my pace, feeling uneasy. I can sense both Mischa and Erika, and that they seem happy together. And I don't want to once again be the one that brings him disharmony... However I can't let Despair beat me there, so I say "Despair, act causal. Mischa and I have somewhat of a history of this kind of thing, and he knows you're from Red Infinity..."

"We will take a seat and eat. We will not bother them until they are done." Despair walks into the cafe and glares at Mischa. He takes a seat and sits down peacefully with Zero.
"It is a nice day to go out and eat. I am glad that I am here with you Zero, though I wish Erika was here with me. I wonder why she is with that idiot gay socialist wuss human." Despair says loudly.

A crowd of people begin to head in.
"Jeez, it's a busy day here..." I say casually, not noticing Despair or Zero. "But I agree, being called a cabbage must be demeaning. Being called a vegetable of any sort must be..." I wonder how it is I managed to end up on this topic. "It must be much neater to be named after a depressing human emotion, like Despair." I say, wondering if it would be appropriate to light up in front of Erika. "If I were named Despair, I would probably smoke a lot more than I currently do, and write really bad poetry." I say, still oblivious to Despair and Zero.

Despair made a promise not to resort to violence.
"There will be no violence." He replies. He turns to Mischa who seems to be ignoring him.
"Zero, you are involved with Bassarov. That is what I heard. Have you slept with him lately? Just making conversation..." He says with a shrug.

My face goes very red. "That's none of your business! Did I ask you if you slept with Erika, or who she slept with? No, because it's none of my business either!" I say louder than I want to.

"Hey, I'm sorry Erika..." I say, scratching my head, then leaning forward onto the table. I take her hand. "I didn't mean anything by it... Despair really does hate me, and the only reason I can think of is because of you."
I lean back in my seat. "I just wish there was some way this could all be resolved... I really don't like having people hate me, especially someone like Despair. That's how I deal with it I guess." I say, referring to my previous Despair comment.

"Why are you so tolerant of him? If Red Infinity killed him, you could have Bassarov all to yourself." Despair loses interest in watching Mischa and Erika. His attention is not focused on Zero.
