"Um... well it does, but on a train you don't feel like your going fast because it's alot bigger."
A short time later, Peter pulls off the freeway and into the parking lot for the train station. As soon as he puts on the break Peter hops out and comes around to Lena's door, opening it and offering her a hand out. "You gonna be alright Lena? Really, the train isn't as bad as that."

"Really? Because I love to hear the viewpoints of demons. You see, knowing the enemy is vital to staying alive sometimes." Michael lowers his arms and turns away from Cephrien. "You shoud try and learn more, especially about those who you'll have to fight someday." Michael walks away, not looking back.

"Oh, I'll get over it.." Lena says, thinking or worse things. She takes his hand and steps out, her legs shaky. She takes three deep breaths to calm down, and realizes how tight she was holding his hand and lets go. "Sorry.. Thanks a lot for the support, I think I'm fine now." She says, lightly blushing.

Peter blushes as well, rubbing the back of his head. He smiles nervicly, "Ha ha, right, right, sorry." He clears his throat and looks around. As he raises his head to look into the sky, snowflakes begin to fall. "Hum, snowing. Must really be winter now. Hey, you know, it's almost Christman, come to think of it. Not a big holiday anymore but my grandparents told me it used to be." Shaking his head slightly, Peter returns himself to the present. "We can get train tickets over there. It'll probably have to be an overnight train. Come on!" Peter smiles and starts to walk towards the ticket seller, walking half turned so he can watch Lena, waiting for her to follow.

"Oh? What is Christmas?" Lena asks curiously as she follows close behind Peter, happy for the lack of people around. She didn't like places with lots of people, she felt small and weak then. She also felt nervous, since her mother had told her about bad and dangerous people being everywhere.
"I love the snow.." She says quietly to herself, watching some of the snow fall as she walks. Where she lived in the Ice Lands, it was either not snowing, or a blizzard. Rarely was it just light peaceful snow.

"Christmas? Well, back before the government banded religous practices, Christmas was when the Christans celibrated the birth of their Christ. From what my grandparents tell me and what I've researched, Christmas was, at the same time, people's time of highest greed and self-service and their high of selflessness and sharing. It's crazy but my grandparents said it was a great time to be alive."
Peter buys their tickets and leads the way to the platform. "Luckily it's a late train, I was able to get us each a conpartment and still have them next to one another." Peter looks around as they step onto the platform and checks his watch. "The train's leaving in about fifteen minutes. Are you hungry or thirsty? We could get something from the vending machines if you are. You've probably never had anything like that stuff. I like it. Not healthy at all, just tastes good, ha ha." Peter smiles and laughs, turning to face Lena.

"Well, I am a little hungry. You're right, I've never seen any of these foods." Lena says, kneeling in front of one of the vending machines and poking the glass. "I guess I'll have whatever you get, I trust you won't poison me. If it doesn't kill you, then it shouldn't kill me. The worst that could happen is that the food would be hot. That would rise my fire power and I might flick some fire without realizing it, but nothing more then that.. What do these things taste like, through? I mean, like fruit, or what.."

"Don't like hot stuff them eh? Alright... well, how about cold sandwiches then?" Peter takes out some small bills and gets four cold beef sandwiches and a pair of soft drinks. He hands one of the plastic wrapped sandwiches to Lena. "It's wrapped with plastic. See?" He pulls the wrap off one of the other sandwiches to show her. "Well, if you've never had cold beef before, it's kind hard to describe. There's lettuce and tomatos but beef... beef is meat. Do you have meat where you come from?
Well, just try it, you'll be fine. The drink is fizzy though, so it might feel like it's burning your mouth, but it's alright." Peter pulls the tab on the sodas, the can hissing slightly when he does. He hands one to Lena, taking a sip out of the other as he does. "Here you go."
((Im hanging around for one more post, then I have to go. I'll be on tommorrow. Hope to see you then.))

"No, I don't like hot things at all.." It was fire that got her into this mess in the first place. She could still be in her village with her sister, mother, and aunt. Happy as could be without having ever ridden in a car or eating new things. No through, that stupid religion, she hated some parts of it.
Maybe death would've been better through. Her sister wouldn't have been dragged into this strange world. She hopes she'd found people like she had. What if her sister died, just because Lena had used some teleport spell from some crazy old lady? She could be dead now, alone.. A tear, of both anger from her earlier thoughts and sadness from her recent falls from her left eye, rolling down her cheek and falling off, but bouncing off the floor as a perfectly round crystal. It rolls on the ground before bumping lightly against Peter's left shoe.
"I'm sorry, I'm just thinking some stupid thoughts, don't worry!" Lena says quickly snapping back to reality, looking back up with a fake smile. She takes the pop can and takes a sip. It wasn't that bad, through it did feel weird. *They arin't stupid thoughts, they are all possible..* A voice like her owns, but colder, speaks in the back of her head.
Whenever she felt down or sad, it was that voice that spoke to her whenever she started to try to cheer up. She knew it was just a cold part of her self conciseness.

Peter looks concerned. Lena is acting rather strangely. He bends down and picks up the crystal. As he does, reality slides away and the past leaps from the nether around him, playing out like a movie, with him riding along behind Lena's eyes.
The instant passes with only a pause in Peter's movements, but the vision clears up alot. Peter is silent for a moment, then scoots forward on his seat and reaches out, taking hold of Lena's hand. He opens her hand and puts the crystal tear into her palm, then closes her hand around it.
"Your sister is going to be fine, I'm sure of it. We'll find her, and then I will help you both get home." He smiles, rubbing her hand slightly before releasing it. "Everything will work out, Lena. And I will do everything I can to make sure it does."
((See you tommorrow. I'd stay up longer, but I have to do some job hunting tommorrow. Until tommorrow afternoon then.))

Lena smiles slightly, through it looks like a sad smile. She opens her hand and looks at the crystal before looking back at Peter. "You're really kind to someone you've just met. I'm happy I was lucky enough to meet nice people when I first arrived here. Nothing can be made to turn out well, but faith is believing in something common sense tells you not to, and I have great faith my sister will survive and find me if I don't find her first and that it will all turn out fine.."
A real smile crosses her lips, as she holds out the crystal to Peter. "You can have it, it's nothing to me. Just a tear in solid form. It may be small, but in the black market I hear Ice Maiden tears are worth quite a bit. If you ever have money problems, you can sell it." She says, looking at the crystal.
Then, she speaks more quietly. "When I find her, I want you to take her home and her alone. I can never go back home.. but it is where she belongs. The only reason she left is because of me, and there's greater things back at the village for her. Will you take her to our village, back home.. even through she will beg to stay, I can't let her. This world only holds death for her. She is so innocent of this world, she'd probably faint at the sight of blood."
(Goodnight. I'm sure I'll be on late in the evening if not in the afternoon. For me, it is tomarrow.. 6 in the morning tomarrow.)

"Glad to hear Caelin is doing well, I'll go visit him and my mother soon enough. It's good that you trained. I would love to watch t.v., I did miss it. But I think that we should go find the others. If there is a storm coming then we could go later I suppose, and since you are avoiding Peter we can go find him last."
*I take off my jacket and hang it over a chair.*
"You know... your acting strangely, but you usually do, and it's been a long day. So going against my natural curiosity, I will leave it alone for now."
