"It attacked the town as well, but it fled before I could reach it. Do you know what it was? Do you know where it came from? Or where it has gone?"

Bassarov wakes up just in time to hear Mischa answer some of the political questions from before. "It has been a while since we had a good political discussion. Why don't we go for a walk because I myself have some questions about our support of Stalinism over Capitalism. Those policies were created in a time when the Stalinists were not in power globally. Since they have become the global oppressor and the capitalists are now oppressed, I wonder if that alters our stance at all. I wouldn't think so since we are still more politically similar to the Stalinists, but, then again we always try to take the side of the oppressed in any given situation, politics notwithstanding."

"I think it was a machine since he looked all robot like. And I think he was from Red Infinity because who else would attack religious rebels and pacifists? I'm not sure where he went to since I was covered in debris when he left."

Lunar sniffs the air. There's alot of scents to follow in Helsinki, but luckily he's had a little experience with different scents. He manages to single out a few of the rebel's he's familair with and follows those. This, again, proves to be a slight problem. It seems that the rebels have been many places in the city. It may take some time to locate them.

Zinn looks up at Sakari.
"Magic? Bugger, I'm afraid I don't know much about that."
Zinn pauses.
"Maybe I could try poking about in his mind, to see if I can find whoever he had contact with last."
The idea is entirely unappealing to Zinn. In fact, there are a thousand things she would rather do, like have her tongue cut out by Ahriman in the ministry of terror, again.
Zinn takes the note, and reads it.
"nuts."
She carefully folds the paper, and puts it in her pocket.
"When did you find this?"

"I see." Peter raises a hand to his glasses and slowly looks around. There is a trail. Different from the ones he's seen before, but he can follow it. "I am going after it." He looks at Lena, "Stay here."

Carter goes back to the kitchen where he enjoys a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich. He is very fond of peanut butter, but it is hard to find in this day and age.

As the taint progresses, Antero becomes very chill. His skin becomes pale and cold, and he shivers under his covers. He has stopped complaining, though he whispers strange and dark things every so often. As the hours pass, the spots on his skin spread. His frail body convulses violently, causing the bed to thump against the wall.

Linnea nodded in agreement, she wasn't saying much mostly cause she was still getting ideas for her murals. It felt good to be working on them again and to talk to Zero, she felt inspired. And to be doing something for the good of the cause for the rebels. It made her feel really good.

Illidan sleeps soundly through the night, as do I, and when morning comes, I open my eyes to see sunshine streaming in through the window. I hear nonsensical words issuing from the crib by the foot of the bed, and so I slip on my clothing and walk over and am met by two large, shining eyes.
" 'Quel amrun, amin Pira Sh'mai."
I pick up my child and cradle him to my chest. There are deep stirrings of motherhood within me, things that I had at one time thought could never exist.
He needs a fresh diaper. I carry Illidan out into the livingroom to ask Kakashi where a clean one can be found.

"Last night." I reply, just in time to hear Antero convulsing. "f**k..."
Sakari unlocks the door, and grabs Antero's ice cold body.
"Regardless of whatever he may or may not have done, he can not be locked up right now." I say, running towards the bathroom.
Sakari rests Antero's trembling body in the bathtub, plugs the drain, and runs hot water.
"Is there anyone here who can heal?" I ask loudly, to anybody who will listen.

Post by Andrew Kasher on Jan 18, 2005 2:06:27 GMT -5
"I have never lived under a capitalist system, so perhaps my opinion is less valid, but... um... I think that I prefer capitalists because they are more easily dissimilar to our own beliefs. They are more easily separated. Um... as Mr. Bassarov said, a Stalinist's goals are more similar to ours, which I think is part of the problem. Many people do not know that there is more than one sort of socialism. They only know Red Infinity, right?... It is easier for us to separate ourselves from the Capitalists. I don't know which system is the lesser of two evils, because I don't have any context, because well, I've never lived under a capitalist system. I suppose we are united in our opposition to Red Infinity, but I think that... well... the Capitalists would harm us if they had the chance. I do not think that being opressed automatically makes them our friends, because their goal is to become the oppressors again, right? Um..." Andrew says.
Andrew hears Sakari calling from the bathroom.
"Uh... I'll be right back."
"Oh... hi again. I have some, well... kind of purifying abilities, I guess. I can remove dark things and poisonous things from people. It's sort of... painful. Well, not for the person, but for me... but I don't mind. I'll see what I can do. I hope I can be helpful. 'From each according to his ability, to each according to his need!'" Andrew says with some enthusiasm. He is a little distracted. He has to figure out a way to find the find the dark thing, and to find the kampa again.
"Um..." Andrew says. He touches Antero's neck, and takes a deep breath. He begins to absorb whatever is infecting Anero. As he does so, he becomes very pale and ill looking. He is literally growing more sickly before Sakari's eyes. Dark circles form under his eyes, and his back hunches, like that of an old man.
There is so much sickness. For some reason, he is having trouble expelling whatever this is from his body. It burns, which is odd, since he is a naiad. He tries to force out some breath, and some blackish purple smoke snakes out of his mouth.
Andrew cannot bear whatever has affected Antero anymore. It is too powerful. He pulls his hand away as if he has been burned, and he feels like he has been. He sits down on the toilet, and tries to catch his breath, the sickly colored coils finally rising from his nose, mouth, and even from under his blindfold, and dissapating into the air.
"I... what was that? I'm sorry. I can't... Whatever that was was too powerful for me. I wish I could help more. I'm sorry."

Sakari is impressed with what he sees. He sits down on the floor, and turns off the water.
"Thank you for your help. Your name is Andrew, right?" I ask jovially. "He should be alright for the evening, his shivering has calmed down. Are you alright? That was quite impressive."

"Oh... um... yeah, I'm fine," Andrew lies. Whatever that was hurt, a lot. His body finishes expelling the darkness he managed to absorb from Antero, but his lungs still feel like they are burning.
"I... I think you should go ask Mr. Bassarov if he has any idea what is wrong with... Antero? Um... it's really powerful, whatever it is. I don't think he is going to get better on his own," Andrew says. He looks a little less sickly now, but still looks rather drawn and pale.
"Oh... um... thanks," Andrew says, blushing sightly. He is embarassed that he wasn't able to help more, and he is embarassed that Sakari thought what he did was impressive, considering that most people are far more powerful, and far more impressive than Andrew, or at least Andrew thinks so.

kakashi has been up since the sunlight crested the horizon. He looks up from his current activity, sharpening his kuni knives, when Fasica speaks. "Ya... let's see..." He stands and walks back to the couch, picking up a large bag from the side. "They should be in here."
