"Okay, how about we do something else?" I ask, noticing the snowball fight wasn't a big hit. I walk back over to her side, and take her hand again, which is wet and cold from packing snow, as is mine. I wipe my hands off on my jacket, and take her hand again.
"Perhaps building snowmen would be a better alternative..."

"We could. I do eat differently than you, Valodya is a vegetarian and I have to eat meat. But I know there;s things we all like. Or we could keep talking about weapons, your choice." I say. I'm glad that Mischa and I can at least talk about the various arts of warfare, it isn't much but it is a good place to start...

"Well, I am no art critic, but I think it all looks pretty good. I have never been very critical, so maybe I am not the best person to ask. All of your art seems perfectly fine to me."

Iris again looked confused. "You mean men of snow correct?" this sounded quite hard to her.

"I'm sorry Vossya, I know you have no interest in hearing about such things..." I say, taking a bite of his tiramisu.
"Hmph... You got your tiramisu, but I haven't got mine yet..."

"No your the best critic," Linnea says and looked over at him, her arms still crossed. "But thank you Garret."

Post by Valodya Bassarov on Jan 23, 2005 20:45:48 GMT -5
"More evidence that the world does indeed revolve around me." Bassarov says with sarcastic arrogance. He shakes his head and it becomes obvious that he is ashamed of behaving as he has. "Sorry that I am acting so rudely. Forgive me." Bassarov slides his dessert over to Mischa. "Here, you can have some of mine while you are waiting for yours."

I smile. She's so cute.
"Well, not exactly... Here, I'll show you." I say, looking around the snow.
"It's like the snowball fight, but instead you make really large balls of snow." I say, leaning down and rolling up a large ball of snow, packing it in tight.
"Then you make two more, and put them on top of each other." I say, continuing to explain how to make a snowman.
((I have to get going after the next post))

"Valodya, we changed the subject so you could be involved in the conversation. Don't blame yourself for being rude." I say. I take a large bite of one of my sandwiches, unlike them I don't have that much of a sweet tooth.

I take the dessert without asking whether or not it's okay. Mine comes shortly after, and I've already eaten most of Valodya's. I slide my tiramisu over to him in exchange for his.
"I'm sorry Vossya. I just don't want anyone to be alienated here. We all came out for a good time, and it sucks if only a couple of us are conversing. You would do the same for me if you and Zero were talking and I had nothing to say."

"The art doesn't matter so much as the message, so I think it is just fine. I look at the mural and feel inspired by the past revolution." Garret says, once again fishing for something to say about the mural.

"Oh," Iris watching him still somewhat confused, but then helped him packed the snowball. Stopping a couple times, she breathed on her hands to warm them up a little.

Post by Lena on Jan 23, 2005 20:51:40 GMT -5
After sitting beside a frozen stream for a while, staring off at the snow covered ice, Lena stands and yawns. She starches and smiles lightly as she begins to walk back toward the house. She had decided it had been nicer to be alone for a bit, think over a few things in the silence of the forest.
She opens the door and walks into the house, her sister was probably still asleep and Chai hadn't returned. Lena brushes the snow off her clothes, and realizes she should've done it before walking inside, but doesn't think much about it.
She hears movement in the kitchen as she walks across the living room and decides to see who else was up. She walks into the kitchen and spots Peter. "Hi Peter, good morning!" Lena says cheerfully with a light smile.

Raz stops, pulls the prayer shawl away from her face, and adopts an irritated look. She walks over to Sakari, who has decided to sit on the couch.
"Look, I am trying to help your friend. I am sorry if you have religious objections, but this is the only way that I can help him. I need ten adults to chant this prayer three times, and then I can do the rest. That's all it takes. Now, I need you to participate as the tenth person, whether you like it or not. I am sorry. If I had another option, I would take it, because it is against my faith to force my faith on others. Shimon isn't an adult yet, so you are going to have to make due and participate, to help your friend. Now, everyone stand around the circle. I am sorry, but we have to start over. I know many of you," Raz says, glancing at Zinn, "want this to be over as quickly as possible. In order to do so, you are going to have to do as I say," Raz states in her usual military manner.
She hands Sakari a copy of the transliterated prayer.
