"Yes I will consider doing that." I say after a few seconds of thought.

"How about Chaim? It means 'a life' in Hebrew. It is a masculine name. If you consider yourself more feminine, Chaya would be the female form."
Raz pauses.
"I am sorry that I attempted to trick you before. I hope you will not think less of me. Most beings that I deal with in this manner that are from Red Infinity are not very polite. You are a very nice person. You see, when dealing with demonic posessors, if I know their real name then I can control them to an extent. I apologize that I tried to control you. Let's start off on a better foot. My real name is Raz Nili Ze'ev. I named myself. Raz means 'secret' in Hebrew, and Nili is an acronym for a verse in the Torah, a holy book, that translates to "The glory of Israel will not lie."
"I hope you trust me. I belong to a nationalist organization called Hagana, that wants to reclaim my people's rights to self determination, democracy, and our religion. We do a lot of things with bionic prosthetics, and we could probaly construct a body for you. However, as you have noticed, you are unable to leave the circle. I have a bottle that I can transport you in, so that we can go to a laboratory where we can get you a real body. However, you will have to enter the bottle yourself."
Raz shuffles through the trunk for a moment and retrieves a glass bottle with a copper stopper. The bottle has the same symbol as the one that is glowing in the circle etched into the bottom.

Post by Valodya Bassarov on Jan 24, 2005 21:17:39 GMT -5
"Good, I have some questions for you as well. I rarely get to speak with psychologists and there are some things have have been bothering me."
Bassarov sits down and explains.
"I heard from an underground news source that there is a man at the Ministry of Terror who suffers from Gender Identity Disorder. Red Infinity promised him that they would take care of hormone treatments and a sex change operation. They performed some of the treatments, but then stopped. Now, despite his confinement, he is speaking out because this is a cruel and unusual punishment. He must remain with male prisoners and is not allowed to wear women's clothing. This is despite the fact that he considers himself female and even changed his name from Donald to Dawn."
Bassarov stands after he explains the story.
"Could you please tell me why the Ministry of Psychology considers this to be a mental disorder, when, I feel this is a perfectly natural reaction to ones gender, and that it seems more of a problem society has with this individual than a problem with the individual himself..or in this case, herself... and also, is there anything we can do to rescue or help this individual?"
Bassarov takes personally issues of sexuality and gender, and found the report to be very upsetting. It also upset him that psychologists all this a disorder.

I frown.
"There are two trains of thought on that, and my training covered both. Some agree with the stance Red Infinity has taken, that it is a mere disorder. Others believe that it is an accident of birth that placed the person in the wrong body. Personally, I believe either might be possible, but it would require deeper analysis of the situation to be certain."
((I have to go eat dinner, I'll be back later. Bassarov may move my character.))

(This is my deleted post from the previous page) Bassarov turns to the young psychologist. In truth, he never really cared for psychology. He is also a little insulted that the rebels are thought to have mental disorders.
He first turns to Erika and Freakboy.
"Sorry that I was so open, but, why beat around the bush about this? We wanted to get some answers, right? Thanks Erika, we appreciate your help in this matter. "
Bassarov then turns to Mr. Tran.
"It is nice to meet you. I think that the rebels have mental health care needs to the same degree the rest of the population does. But since we are rebels, we don't have access to Red Infinity's massive universal health care system."

Freak Boy rolls his eyes at the psychologist. He looks to Erika after hearing her response... it's good to know she doesn't hate him quite as much as she once did.
"Alright, cool." Freak Boy said, taking a sip of his tea, wincing again as it travelled down his throat.

"Anyway, I thought it was wrong and wanted to hear what you had to say about it." Bassarov replies.
He hates putting the newcomer on the spot, but the story had been on his mind all day.
He brings some tea for Mr. Tran and seats him in the kitchen. It will be nice to converse with him about certain issues.

I give Bassarov an odd look. Gender identity confusion? What is there to be confused about? I turn back to Freak Boy. "I want to live outside the city, with none of these modern so-called conveniances."

"I like the sound of Chaya better. That is a nice name and very thoughtful of you to give me it. I understand why you didn't trust me. Actually, the longer I am seperate from a body, the better I feel. I feel more independant and my life feels like it is starting to have more purpose than just infecting people."
Chaya enters the jar and waits patiently for Raz to carry him to her friends.

"I can do that-makes it harder to find me if it's in a remote location. As for modern conveniences, I can agree with that too. All the money we spend on them just goes to Red Infinity anyway, plus they're no doubt traceable. My place in Argentina didn't have anything really modern, considering the fridge was ancient, so it shouldn't be hard to adjust."

Bassarov someone outside of the apartment and goes to check it out. He sees that it is none other than Valkoinen Joki, the white dragon who tipped them off that Sayuka needed to be rescued. "It's good to see you Valkoinen. Come inside. Sayuka is sleeping but doing much better."

"Better at the devil's right hand than in it's path..." Noe's usual composer seems to be under considerable strain at the moment. "They could crush us like bugs if they wished to, Mary, and there is little we could do to stop them. We would survive, of course, we always do, but I for one don't wish to dive deep and leave our surface operations behind.
"If we have to go underground we will be unable to continue having Hunters make their regular rounds. Since this agreement we've been able to move more freely than we have in fifty years."
Noe eyes glinting angerly for a moment, "It would be kind of you to share such intellegence with the rest of us. If both Ministries are working against us now then it is indeed time for a change. And as to Liitle Sister, we have no idea what that even is yet. Violet and the others are going through alot of work to keep the thing secret."
Noe sighs suddenly and sits on his desk. "But your right... you always end up being right. The time has come to prepare for the conflict that will no doubt begin soon."

"Fridge? Oh, an electric icebox... I hadn't planned on using electricity either, I hope you don't mind." I state. It seems that very few people remember that I am over six hundred years ago, when I was young electricity was still a rare conveniance, I lived in the country and never saw anything electric until I was forced to join the SS.
