"Which is why I believe it would be best for me to return to your mindscape and attempt to at least extract some of the mental demons that plague you. This time, however, if he is willing, I would like to bring Bassarov with me."

"You've gotta be nutsting me? I'm uncomfortable enough with myself in my head, but two other people in there too? Lenin help me..." Freak Boy said, massaging his temples.

"I understand your concern, but you must understand. The psychosis within your mind are reaching a dangerous mass. You are fast approaching a point where cognitive thought becomes less and less of an ability you possess."

Freak Boy groaned. "This day just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it?" he asked sarcastically.

"If you want me to enter his mind, I will, though I am not a psychologist and I don't know what sort of help I would be." Bassarov responds.

I smile.
"The mind is a very delicate machine. Sometimes it needs a tune-up here and there. So? What say you?"
I turn to Bassarov.
"I believe it might be good to have another person in his mind. If you are strong of will, you could be of great aid in defeating the insanity, and the fact that Freak Boy obviously trusts you would make it easier for him to relax."

((Akira if you were posting to me, Cynthia is in the hospital))
She lifts her head slowly and sees a familiar face. Cynthia smiles.
"Hello, Steve. Thank you for the flowers." She doesn't really like flowers, but knows that he genuinely means well, and accepts the gift nonetheless.
"Did you ask them when I could leave?"

"I'm strong willed about most things." Bassarov replies. He is not being boastful, since he knows he is weak willed in the face of love, lust, and other things.

Freak Boy lets his head fall back on the head rest of the chair and groans again.
"See... this is why I didn't want to start - because I give you five minutes of talking and the next thing you know we're talking about entering my mind and extracting my Insanity forcibly." Freak Boy says in that ever cynical tone that makes him Freak Boy.

"Well, I can always leave it within your mind and let it fester, until eventually it conquers you and requires you to be institutionalized for the rest of your life as you suffer from bouts of stark-raving maddness coupled with moments of stark lucidity in which you realize how terrible your condition is. I can also give you counseling, but under the circumstances, psionic extraction is the best and fastest method for achieving the desired results."

"I'm not sure how much is an actual mental illness versus a reaction to things happening in his life. Wouldn't it be better to try to resolve things from the outside? That is, the things in his life that are causing his mental strife. I think that would be a more effective and long term solution."

Freak Boy looks at Oneiroi as if to say, 'What the hell kind of language were you just speaking?' He sighs and says, "Sometimes, man... it's just the way you say things."
He looks at Bassarov. "Thank you, I'm glad you see that the fast solution is not always the best one."

"Admittedly some of the psychosis is from outside factors, but the fact that it has spread at such an alarming rate is indeed a problem. Extraction is no small task, I assure you, I would not suggest it if I felt that there were another way."

"But maybe it has only spread because his life has become more stressful lately. He was a lot more sane when things in his life were more sane. I know from myself that my mental health is more external than internal. When things go wrong in my life, it is hard to keep things together. I am not expert, but I would prefer to examine what we can do about these external factors."

"Yes, Oneiroi. Listen to Bassarov." Freak Boy says, gesturing to him. "I think he knows me better than you do - hell, he knows me better than I know me."
