Stalin lit his cigarette and took a long drag from it.
"It is no problem, Lady Violet. It is the least I can do since I am one of the founding fathers of Communism. I only wish there was more I could do for the party." Stalin said, semi-sincerely.

"We need more people at the Ministry of Education. Maybe you could move there and do your classes for the party and for the general public. The rebels teach classes on politics from time to time. We may as well teach classes in Helsinki as well."

"AH! That reminds me," Stalin said, taking another drag of his cigarette. ", I am concerned about the loyalty of Valkoinen Joki and Ms. Krupskaya. Valkoinen seems to be opposed to Communism and Ms. Krupskaya seemed to defend him. You may want to add them to the list of those to be purged."

I really do have things I should be doing, so despite the fact that I'd like to wait for Bassarov to wake up I leave his omlette in the refrigerator, and put a note by the bed saying that I made him breakfast. After finishing my own breakfast and downing four cups of coffee I grab two packs of cigarettes and walk over to Mischa's apartment and knock on the door.

"Would you like some water?" Dr. Murdock asks politely.
She goes into the bathroom and pours two glasses.
"It's no trouble at all really."

I grab the glass of water and take a gulp. It eases my nerves.
"Is there something you wanted to discuss? It certainly is nice to have friends in times likes these."

"Very good. Well, I will see you around. I believe I will head home and make myself some dinner." Stalin said, standing up.
"Always a pleasure, Lady Violet."

"Oh, nothing in particular. I wanted to make sure that you are alright."
Dr. Murdock starts the bath, and then returns to the main room. She sits on the bed.
((Hey, open note to whoever plays Trotsky: If you are still around, could you PM me on either this account or on my Zinn account?))

Freak Boy groaned.
"Every time I sit down, there's another knock at the door! It's like these people have chips in their heads, 'Yeah, Freak Boy just sat down, let's make him get up again.' d**n..." Freak Boy said, heading for the door. He opened it and saw Zero.
"Hey, Zero. Hows it goin'?"

"When you arrived...I thought you had come here to...kill me. That is how paranoid I have become."

I give a surprised look. "WHen did you get out? Are you okay?" I ask him as I walk in.

"If you think that I am here to kill you, then apparently I haven't been doing my job well enough," Dr. Murdock says laughing quietly.

"I just escaped this morning, other than the fact I have lost all feeling in my body, I'm fine." he says sarcastically. He's not wearing a shoe. His right shoe is in front of the door.
"I escaped through the sewers because Hoshi was lazy and left the torture room unattended. Hope they purge her, the bastard." Freak Boy says, looking at his hands. All his yanking at the door had blistered his palms.

When Stalin leaves, I decide to meet with Lin-Sat to discuss the purges. I leave my office and go to his, waiting for a spare moment to talk to him. He is always very busy attending to his own secret affairs.
