Raz cringes inwardly. She had always found Harry's sense of humor terribly irritating. Perhaps it has improved over the years though. "Oh, I love philosophy. Maimonides had some very interesting ideas about our understanding of God," she says, trying to make pleasant conversation.
She fires at three more demons. They dissolve into dust. Then, she reloads.

"Whoah... nice shootin'." he said, squinting to see the dust blowing in the wind. He smiled... heh. All just dust in the wind...
"Philosophy is very interesting. I've tried to broaden the minds of my students into seeing that it wasn't just some crazed revolutionaries who were responsible for the world of today, but we had some hand in it, although it was indirect. I'm sure you've studied history very well and know that the whole American 'war on terror' was an indirect result of the Israeli Palestine conflict. The war on terror resulted in the US opression of the world which eventually lead to revolution... chain reaction sort of thing. Oh, I'm rambling, aren't I? Sorry..." he said, catching himself.
"So, what have you been up to lately? Y'know... aside from the whole soldier thing..."

"What does the Americans' fight with Arab terrorists have to do with the fight between the Arabs and the Israelis?" Raz says. "That statement has no logic whatsoever. I hope you are not so vague with your students. That also has nothing to do with phlosophy," Raz says. She fires three more times. Three more demons dissolve. They move forwards a few feet. The going is slow because there are so many demons. She is ordinarily more patient, but she never was with Harry.

Ezra finds a sack in an empty room and fills it with books and documents. As soon as he has done this, he continues with his search for a way out of the demonic castle. Inside, the castle is very complex. Long halls and winding staircases, make the castle a strange dark maze with no clear exit in sight. He finds himself walking in circles. Even windows are hard to find.

"Because the Arabs found it to be insulting when American Soldiers set foot in Mecca and sided with the Jews in Israel, giving them weapons when all the Arab countries were opposed to the creation of Israel.
"Because of this a Muslim radical... what's his name again... it's not important. Anyway, he sent planes to bomb America which resulted in war on terror. Domino effect. Chain reaction, and I consider the whole 'Everything has an effect on something, be it so indirect that it is overlooked, or right in your face' to be philosophy.
"And don't worry. When I talk to my students I am not vague at all... in fact, I think I talk till their ears hurt." he said with a laugh.

Chaya begins to stir a little. He mumbles something and rubs his eyes. He goes back to sleep, nuzzling his head into Harry's jacket.

"Are you blaming the collapse of society into this godless dictatorship on Zionism?" Raz says, anger evident in her voice. She fires again, and hits another demon. "It doesn't matter how much you talk if you spout nuts."
That isn't a proverb, but Harry's implication pisses her off.

Ezra continues to search for an exit, but, he finds now that the castle must have some magical property which changes the location of rooms and stairways. This is only a theory, but the place seems to shift, making it impossible for him to find a way out. To test this he marks the walls with a coin in his pocket. He strikes the wall with an x and continues his way out, following what appears to be an original route. Sure enough, no matter which turn or stairs he takes, he always ends up in a hall with an x.

"No! I certainly am not!" he said in an offended tone. "I blame it on the Americans. If they had purchased Israel rather than, forgive the expression but, rather than dumping us off there with tanks and military support, the Arabs wouldn't have had a right to complain. They'd be pissed, but we'd have bought it fair and square so they would have nothing to do but kvetch to the UN.
"Then, aside from that, there was the Gulf War to instigate the Arabs, there was the fact the Americans continued to hang out in the Middle East to secure their oil rights despite the fact Desert Storm had ended, etc. etc. I'm just saying that we played a VERY small part in the chain reaction that lead to revolution, but the start of this chain reaction was Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. Ironic, isn't it? A communist government is a direct result of the chain reaction of a Fascist government... although, one could blame the Austrians for instigating WWI, and then... you know what, to heck with it. I'm gonna go on for hours through history until I hit the Torah if this keeps up..."

((Yo, FB, remember that you are playing a Zionist Jew. A Zionist Jew would not see history that way, or draw those sorts of conclusions.)) "That isn't history. Those are extremely shaky dotted lines," Raz says. "I can't believe you're a teacher, and you feed that sort of bullnuts to your students. When we get home, I am putting you on report."

(I remember, he isn't blaming Zionism, he's blaming Americans for being unjust in the methods of aquiring the Jewish homeland. He knows the Jews needed a homeland and still need one, but he doesn't think they went about it the right way the first time around. Purchasing the homeland would be more fair than showing up with guns while the Pakis had rocks and camels...)
Harry rolled his eyes. "We need a homeland, I'm not saying we don't need one. I'm just saying that back then the Americans went a bit... extreme and used unsound methods to aquire one for us, which was beyond the Jews circle of control, but still done for us, meaning we were very indirectly involved in the chain reaction which created Red Infinity. If you're gonna report me then go ahead, just remember I'm only a sub. Now let's talk about something else before you start the chain reaction that turns me into a bitter old man with the social skills of my mother..." he said, readjusting Chaya, as he was starting to grip his neck rather tightly.

Samuel continues to pat Winter's head. She was still crying into his shoulder. This was getting really annoying, but he didn't let that show. "Winter," He said, lying his cheek against the side of her head, and closing his eyes. He had to say something to make her stop crying! "It'll all be alright. Helene is with God now." That really didn't seem like the right thing to say, and he regretted it immediatly. He had to say something to something to make her stop crying, he had to get to Kelly's Pub. He was already running late, and Patrick was singing tonight. He always loved to hear Patrick sing Flogging Molly. To bad he was a socialist.

"I need to find a way out of here, but it seems impossible when the rooms keep shifting." Ezra also receives the odd feeling that he is being watched. He figures that this is logical, since he hasn't seen demons for a while.

((Dude, you are giving completely and totally inaccurate history. America didn't conquer Israel for the Jews.))
"America had nothing to do with the original aqusition of Israel. It was given to us by God, in God's pact with Abraham. After that, it was given to us by the British, through the Balfour Declaration. Later, America funded Israel when the Arab nations attacked from all sides," Raz says. "You're a lousy historian, Harry. 'Words should be weighed, not counted.' Red Infinity collapsed because capitalism had gone out of control. Idealism emerged, and failed. It had nothing to do with Israel."
This time, she is quoting a proverb.
"You should respect your mother more. It is a commandment."

(What happened to the whole, '500 years will distort alot of facts' thing I used to hear so much of? I'm aware it was British mandate that started the mess.)
"Shhh, shhh, shh! I don't wanna argue, I don't wanna argue, I don't wanna argue. Shh, let's just get there!" he said in a tone that suggested he was getting sick of all the demons flying overhead. "Let's just get there, get Ezra out, get home and THEN we can argue all we want after we get something to eat.
"It says 'honor thy mother and thy father.' Nowhere does it say to like them..."
