Chaya doesn't like to be dismissed, but figures that Ezra wants to be alone. He leaves and walks to a nearby park. He sits alone under a tree and watches the humans interact with one another.

Carter wakes up sometime in the middle of the night. He feels weak, but other than that, he is glad to be alive. He turns and sees that Chai Ling is with him.
"Thanks. I feel a lot better. I'll be making peach pie again in no time."

Karina picks up her plate and throws it into the sink, along with her cup. Just Valodya. He wants to go on a vacation, so I'll watch his place. She streches and yawns, ignoring the fact that her robe is short. She comes and sits back at the table. I'm bored... Is there anything we can do today?

"Does anyone have anything to add to the next chapter?" Somehow by working on the book as a communal effort, Bassarov is less stressed about it.

The group, which is, whoever wanted to tag along, walks through the ghost city of Philadelphia. Sakari decides to take an aside to a shelled out husk of what used to be a garage. The ceiling gone, or rather, migrated to the floor.
"I remember... I was in a garage like this one, translating messages for the front." I reply, seeming somewhat distant.
"I was a socialist before the revolution, though I have long since lost hope in it." Sakari states cooly, as though he were displaying some long lost skeleton that he was keeping in his closet.

((Flashblack))
I stare up at the ceiling, the face of the girl appearing in my head, over and over again. I start to tremble at the thought of killing another, the sheer power I held over another mortal.
I begin to fear, and pity. My chest clenches up as I feel a panic attack building. My greatest anxiety is that I feel no remorse for this woman.
The speckles in the ceiling become like little bullet holes, and I imagine them all starting to bleed. The blood begins to spray, and cover me from head to toe.
I sit up, and flash back to reality, staring at my hands. I can still smell the sulphur from the one shot I fired, but I can't smell the blood. Yet I know it's there.
I crawl out of bed, and stagger into the bathroom. I spend the next several seconds staring into the mirror, analyzing intently who this person really is.
I wash my face, and decide to go for a walk.

Post by Nikolai Smirinaiov on Feb 11, 2005 14:09:18 GMT -5
Nikolai's search brings him to Helsinki, hearing rumors of the Trotskyist Movement being here. He had heard rumors of the revolution ending but he wanted to find out for sure.
Once he arrives he begins doing silent observations of the people and their reactions, conversations, and just general goings on. He decided not to ask about Bassarov but rather find him himself.
He decides to stop and eat at a small restaurant there, hoping to sit there and find out more info regarding the movement and revolution. He notices a couple of attractive young girls sitting there talking and giggling at another table. He orders his food and sits down at the table next to them.
A few minutes pass and a man around their age shows up and starts yelling at one of them. She starts arguing back and he raises his hand to slap her.
Before the young man even knows whats going on, Nikolai has his arm pinned behind his back and his face down into the floor. He digs his knee into the mans back and says, "Leave before we have a problem, and believe me, you don't want us to have a problem."
He gets up off of him and the man takes off running. The girls start laughing at him and Nikolai bows to them. He takes his seat and continues eating. They start looking over at him and whispering back and forth to each other. The one who wasn't being hassled, an attractive young brunette bites her bottom lip and looks at him lustfully. He smiles warmly and nods at her and they begin giggling again.
He feels himself start to get a little warm and takes off his jacket. Underneath he's wearing a sleeveless muscle shirt. He continues eating figuring that it was just hot in the building. He had never felt emotion towards anyone nor lust for that matter other than bloodlust.
The girls suddenly get a worried look on their face and he hears a noise behind him. The young man has a gun pointed at him and is getting ready to squeeze the trigger. Before the man can even blink, Nikolai draws his friggin handcannon of a pistol and fires one shot into his shoulder without even looking. The young man drops the gun and falls to the ground, sobbing. He puts his gun back in its holster and continues eating as if nothing had happened.
The people in the restaurant start freaking out and some of the squeamish leave. The "girlfriend" of the young man sits there shocked and the other sort of shivers and continues looking at Nikolai. He glances their direction and smiles a half-smile at them. He finishes up and throws away his trash. He puts his jacket back on and bows his head to them. He throws some cash to the cashier and apologizes for the situation.
As he is walking out he grabs the young man by the foot and drags him with him, leaving a trail of blood behind him. The man continues sobbing and begins pleading for his life. The girls hear this and get up to follow him.
He sits the young man on a bench and crouches in front of him. "Now then, I warned you but, apparently you've got a learning disability. I'm not gonna kill ya kid. I have 2 requests: first, you leave them alone or I will kill you; second, I'm looking for a... certain important man. You seem to know enough to get a gun, so why don't you tell me where I can find this information."
The young man catches on and starts explaining that he knew of whom he spoke but he was afraid of what would happen if he divulged any information.
"Don't worry, I've come to help him. Not harm him."
He nods and stops sobbing slightly. He sniffles and tells him the general area that he had heard Bassarov was in. Nikolai smiles and apologizes for the wound. He tousles the mans hair and leaves. The girls look at the young man, then at Nikolai and start to follow him.
"Need something ladies?" he asks without even turning to them.
"Umm.. err.. I was just wanting to thank you," the blonde of the two says to him.
"Well you're welcome young lady. Don't worry about him, he won't bother you again."
"Thanks.. is there any way we can repay you?" she asks in an faux-innocent voice.
A grin crosses his face but then he stops himself. "Honestly I could think of a few things but, I don't require payment for a good deed." He notices a look of disappointment on the brunette's face as he looks back.
He walks over to her, puts his finger on her chin and lifts her face to look at his eyes. "Now, now. Don't be discouraged. You're very beautiful, both of you, but I have a task. I'll give you my satellite phone number and you can give me a call whenever you need to." He hands them his black business card with silver writing. It has his name and his number on it, thats it.
He walks off to find Bassarov as they run back the other direction giggling.

((I wanted to talk to you today, oh well.))
"Hmm... Only if I think about it for a long time, but usually no. It's not like your a toaster, which would just be very convinient."
*I push a button on the elevator for the next floor up.*
"I haven't had toast in forever you know..."

A few days after the fight.. Ceph woke up in a hospital bed. Wires were connected to his chest as well as his temples. Just how long had he been sleeping..? "...uhngh.....where...where am i...?" He asked himself as he examined the room. His black eyepupils shrinking and expanding, adjusting to the light in the room.

(darn, sorry I missed you. I pmed you)
"You really haven't had toast for a while? Oh, well I will go out and get a toaster one of these days."
I ride the elevator up, but the ride seems to take forever. I hum a song to myself as we go upwards to our floor.

I hang about the Ministry of Information looking over the latest reports. Reports come in that no one has found the location of Victoria. She is one of the last people who need to be purged.
I would like to see her go. That would better my chances for something more or lasting with Futsu. Not that it matters, but it would help my position here.
I call Ahriman and give him the little information that we have. Victoria is somewhere in the Eastern part of America.

As I talk with Andrew I can overhear the others talking about the revolution. I am far too young to have seen any of it, though I do know a lot of the story albeit from the other side. But I don't care to hear any more, as politics hold very little interest to me.

I have a nice time with Stacia at the sea food resturaunt. I hope we hang out again. I have extra bounce in my step as I walk back to my apartment and am even gladder to see that Illidan dropped off the book I asked for.
"Oh cool, Illidan brought the book for me. Awesome."
I pick up the poetry book and page through it. The poems are great, and not all of them are political. I remember what Illidan said about the Ministry of Education dance, so I go to my bedroom and put on a gray suit. I look good in gray and I don't have to be too fancy, it isn't my style. I wear red sneakers with my gray suit and feel pretty cool
"I better head to this thing. Too bad I have to go alone. Bah, what does it matter?"
I teleport to the Ministry of Education to wait for this thing to get started.

"Today is going to be a productive day."
When a nihilist rolls out of their gray torn broken mattress into their trashed bedroom and says these words people should watch out. I have a plan today. Today we're going to raise a little mayhem. I call Soren and Septimus and tell them my plans for the evening.
"...and you two better show up."
I teleport to Helsinki to set things up for later tonight.
