We walk to the coffee shop and sit down together. There are couples crowding the shop and the noise and romance level are nearly intolerable.

Bassarov shuts his dark lashed eyes and pulls her into him. He holds the back of her head, stroking her black hair. He kisses her ear and speaks softly into it.
"And I love you too."
Sometimes this non sexual relationship with Zero is better than his sexual one with Kaieka. With Kaieka, that was all there was. It was a very unstable foundation for a relationship. But with Zero, he feels that his love is built on friendship and work. It seems longer lasting and more rewarding.

I remain sliently and kiss him some more. I reach behind his back and gently rub from his shoulders on down. I sit on his lap and gently kiss his face.
My feelings concerning our relationship are similar to Bassarov's; though sex is a part of our relationship it is not the basis of it.

He hated being reminded that he hadn't seen Rayven in . . . months and a handful of weeks now. He sighed, and, had he been in human form, a tear would've rolled down his cheek.
He decided to change the subject. -Y'know, I've always thought that everyone should be as nice and kind as they can to each other every single day. So, as the name implies, we only celebrate each other for one day only. Then again, there are some people who do just that and are kind-hearted every single day. It takes all kinds, doesn't it?-

I look at her alitle strangely and shake my head, not helping but to sigh. "sorry... its just there are so many names people call it nowadays. erm... happy love and brotherhood day to you as well sayuka..."
I smile at her, depsite her not liking me more then a friend it was good to get away from krupskaya for abit... not that there was something wrong with her, she was just too different... nothing like the women I am used to and to live with her at her apartment feels wierd

Bassarov feels intensely emotional at the moment, but knows that A.S.S workers work overtime on Love and Brotherhood Day.
He rests a hand on her thigh as he kisses her. Overhead he can hear some crows, but their cawing is spring like rather than their miserable lament for winter's end.

"I agree, there shouldn't be one day for celebrating love, but everyday should be a celebration. But, this holiday is just a reminder to love one another. Not just in the romantic sense, but in all senses. I like the new name of the holiday better, since rather than celebrating some Saint it comemorates love itself."

Bassarov and Zero spend some more time in the park then return to the apartment. Bassarov decides that he will spend the rest of the evening with Mischa to be fair to his other lover.
