Exactly the point.
Back in the 1500s Asher was captured by the Church and experimented on. They were trying to find ways to cure Vampires of their condition, which was immpossible.
None the less they treated Asher with Holy Water, drop by drop. His while left side was twisted and burned as if by acid, one drop at a time. He's a little bitter about it.
So, I didin't use that part of the character.
