powers:
Transformation- Virgal uses the energies locked in his weapons to transform, making use of
his genetic coding. The effects of the changes vary with the weapon. The changes last only a
short time before the energy of the weapon is drained. The energy is recharged through
combat as well as over time.
Immortal genes- Virgal has the information of all supernautral races. While he knows nothing
about them and their magic like Peter and Dean who come into a fight with the perfect
weapons, he does know about the enemy. Virgal begins a fight and then developes the perfect
technic against them as he goes. Years of fighting and experience let him see the weak spots
on his enemies. Anything Virgal fights is sure to feel pain be they immortal, monster, or
even God.
Learning Curve- Attacks used on Virgal become less effective everytime they are used. The
old Hunter has seen it all and survied it to boot. After a few repeated uses of a given
technic Virgal will have developed a count attack. There is nothing that he can't develope a
defense against. He forgets there defenses though if he doesn't have to use them. So after
about a month he forgets how to properly counter the move. But he still retains the
knowledge of the technic, which still makes it less effective.
appearance: Virgal is 5'7" with middle length white hair. His skin is pale and his eyes are
dark. Unlike other Hunters he rarly changes cloths, staying in his red leather coat and
black under cloths. He wears body armor under his cloths so he looks a little bigger than he
really is.
Personality: Virgal is rather crazy, as a result of his work. Too many dead people and too
much blood. The trama has broken down his Hunter mental conditioning so that he thinks and
acts close to a normal person, if a crazy one. His actions and choices are for the most part
rational and informed but he speech and his way of acting in the short term are bizzard.
People who are unfamiliar with his problems usually think he's tweaking out after a rather
large cocain hit.
Virgal's nick name, the Poet, comes from his bizzard taste in making up verse as he fights
or talks. Virgal was a 13th centery poet in Italy we composed many wonderful works. This
helped them pick this Virgal's name. The Italian Virgal also acted as the guide to Dante
through Hell and Pirgatory in the master work of Dante, the Divine Comedy.
story: Virgal is a Hunter. In fact, he's the first of the Modern Hunters and the only surviver of the original batch. The first set of Modern Hunters was created 34 years ago (note Virgal's age) without the nanotech and high magics that have been created by LIF in the last 7 or 8 years.
Virgal is a human base lifeform genetically engeered by LIF, enchanced with gene theropy and other older biotechs. His DNA flows with the flesh and blood information of angels, demons, elves, gods, Ursians, Druidians, and every other sentient lifefrom that LIF considers a threat. The results were amazing. The genes linked, formed, reformed, and enhanced each others, sometimes seeming to destroy each other but always emerging complete.
The final produce was a dozen humans, born from pools of genetic data fully grown, with the genetic ability to use the powers of all other races. Later it was discovered there was more to the enemy then their genes but for the time this was big stuff. For a few years the Hunters did perfectly, operating like the Old Hunters but with much or power and ability.
By the time they were twenty years old about six of them had died. Slowly they continued to die, as Hunter do, until only Virgal was left. As each Hunter died the remaining ones took up their weapons and remaining power for their own. Virgal, as the last remaining one, has all twelve of the immortal weapons the First Hunters carried.
He's also insane. The trama of 34 years of death, evil, blood, and orders has cracked his brain pretty hard. He still works like any other Hunter but his way of things is out classed in the eyes of the newer Hunters like Peter and Dean. Still, Virgal continues his missions and continues to survive.
