By-product: Shade's body produces a material similar to ink as a by product of his blood processing. Shade can spit this liquid from his mouth in a stream. The effective range is about ten feet.

The 'ink' is very hot at first but quickly cools. It sticks to whatever it hits, coating it with blackness. It is very slick and vaguely acidic (not enough to burn unless it gets into someone's eyes, which is what Shade usually aims for).

Shade generally has enough 'ink' to spit four or five times. More is made as he uses more up the blood in his system.
