Personality: She is cold, but seems okay around her own kind. She dislikes humans greatly and has a lot of pride for her race. She is loyal and always keeps her word. She can kill if beckoned and is easily annoyed.
Story: Youkai was a great feared demon with great pride and highly respected. She was born and lived in the feudal era of Japan. Youkai was Mistress of the Northern Dog-demon Clans until a priestess named Anna showed up. She didn't like how Youkai treated humans and sealed her into a bluish gem for being so cruel.
The girl then sealed the gem into a mythical egg to ensure Youkai wouldn't escape, Anna wanted to not take any risks. Youkai was believed to be at least around 300 at that time. The egg was passed down in the family until it was lost during the Civil War. It was then placed in a museum. After an about 40 years, the family claimed the egg again from the museum. The youngest daughter through was curios, and picked up the egg, before accidentally dropping it.
She was in awe at the beautiful gem that lay among the piece of the broken egg. Fear of being in trouble through, she collected the pieces and gem and hid them in the woods. A boy who was the servant of a rich woman found the gem and gave it to the woman, in hopes of pleasing her. She put the gem on a necklace to wear. When the woman died, the gem was lost, believed to have been stolen. Somehow, the gem found it's way into the hands of Tsubaki.
The dark priestess knew the tale of the demon who was locked away in a gem, and cracked it open, using old dark magic to counter the old light magic. Youkai was released. Glad to be able to move, Youkai was shocked at the world's change and disgusted. Food was hard to get and many were homeless. This is what Youkai saw and hated about humans even more.
Tsubaki told her about what had happened was she was seal, and Youkai promised her loyalty to the dragon for releasing her, thus joining Red Infinity.
