Aung San Suu Kyi was one of the world’s most prominent figures in the struggle to advance democracy and human rights during the late 1900s and early 2000s.
In response to the tyranny and brutality of the military regime ruling her native Burma, she has became a unifying voice for the oppressed and founded the National League for Democracy. She lead it to an electoral victory that was never honored by the Burmese government.
In the struggle to bring democracy to her country, she endured house arrest, separation from her loved ones, and threats against her life. However, she refused to be silenced. Her unwavering commitment to securing a free Burma through nonviolent means was an inspiration to people around the world, so much so, that when she died her body was kryogenically frozen.
Years later, Red Infinity unthawed her and brainwashed her to use her to their own politcal ends. She works there now, for the new Ministry of Peace, and must follow their orders due to an implant in her body which will poison her if she leaves.
