Quid is a dark planet in deep space that is home of the Quid Empire and the Quid Race. Quid are a race of powerful psionics with squid like heads and superior intelligence. They travel the universe abducting slaves to serve them on their home planet and to sell in the intergalactic slave market.
Because of their strong mental abilities, the Quid are feared and avoided by many races.
To avoid colonization, planets often must fill a yearly quota of slaves. So it has been with Earth for thousands of years. Thus, the Quid have been abducting humans out of secret agreements with the government (s) of Earth for thousands of years.
Phyically, all quid look similar due to years of inbreeding, which is fashionable amongst their people. Brothers and sisters often mate, and only the lower classes breed outside of their family unit.
Quid are also sensitive to light, and most prefer not to venture off of their dark and cold planet, which is characterized by tunnel cities and sulfuric acid lakes.
But since Cid is a slave trader, he has learned to enjoy travel and interaction with new races.
He also has some problems with his people. He does not care for their class system or how society is centered around caring for the ruling brain.
