((Note: Grahf isn't posting and I have it on very good authority that he won't ever again. This has been approved.))
Name: Vhaan Diel
Age: 21
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Alignment: Anarchist
Organization: Anarchist
Occupation: Gear Pilot
Weapon: Randis Complete (Armaments include a blade that uses sonic vibrations to cut most materials and lasers)
Stats: Doesn't matter where I am
Powers:
Phase Shift: Randis can use compressed space in order to travel at the speed light, allowing it to move anywhere within its vision nigh instantaneously. This cannot be used for prolonged travel.
Randis Artificial Intelligence: The gear Randis is a new grade of mecha that are sleeker, faster, and more maneuverable than most gears. It's speed surpasses that of an Omnigear, though its size and power are lessened. Randis is equipped with an A.I. that is extremely sophisticated. Called "Ran," it manifests as a proper British gentleman with impeccable manners and a rather cold and compassionless world-view. The AI is keyed in with all sensors and is able to advise Vhaan, helping him react accordingly to most attacks and keeping him company.
Appearance: Avatar and Signature.
Personality: Vhaan is a rather resigned young man with an astonishingly volatile temper. He believes strongly that there should be no government whatsoever and resents just about all authority. Vhaan is incredibly lonely and isolated due to his condition, and he wants more than anything to be able to walk amongst people and to not have to fight any longer.
Story: Vhaan was originally employed in the gear testing division by Red Infinity. He was a skilled pilot and believed in the cause of Red Infinity. Orphaned at a young age, he was determined to make it on his own, and put his heart and soul into everything he did. When he was offered a chance to test the new gear type, he was ecstatic. The initial tests went well, but as he used Randis more, he became sickly and weak. It was later discovered that Randis had somehow started influencing his very body. This information was not shared with Vhaan until one day he tried to leave the thingypit after testing and his heart and lungs stopped functioning. Vhaan cannot live outside of Randis, his body has become so reliant upon the gear that he is perpetually trapped within. For several years after, he went to various divisions of Red Infinity, begging them to return him to his body. Again and again he was promised aid, but there were always strings attached. He served in mission after mission, purging thousands of innocent villages at the command of Red Infinity, all in the name of a cure. Such a cure was not forthcoming. Sickened by the bloodshed he had wrought, Vhaan realized that even if Red Infinity could help him, they were not going to. He was a pawn, some beast that they could unleash upon whoever brought about their ire. Vhaan began to hate the government, and such a hatred grew to hatred of the concept of government. Vhaan lives for the day when Red Infinity is toppled and a world of freedom can begin. He still searches for a cure, but has resigned himself to the fact that he may be trapped forever within his gear. Thus he fights for a better world for others, he sees it as both atonement for his past crimes, and his duty to humanity to bring about a world where everyone may live in freedom.
