septimus has always been questioning his existance, and never really seemed to fit in with people. growing up in the seedy side of society, he learned how to become street smart, and stayed on top of his life by selling drugs. on his 27th birthday, he was seduced by a female vampire, and turned over to the 'dark side'. immediately after understanding his immoratilty, septimus sank into an even deeper depression, feeling as though he was now chained to this meaningless existance, he started searching for a meaning. he did, after all, have all eternity to do so.
