1) OK then. 2) Edit it then. 3) Neither Dean, nor Nader are socialists. They may have some socialist ideas, but they are not socialist. They are merely liberal. Dean is 100% Democrat. He just has more of a spine than most other Democrats. Just look at the guy's voting record in Congress. 4) It doesn't take inspiration to want absolute power. Still, I suppose you have the right to think Stalin had something to do with it. Fine. 5) Your friend's sense of humor sucks. Political humor=awesome. There's no accounting for taste I suppose. You just have to bring into account that Bush and co. are now internationally hated anyway, and that how they are viewed now is not how they will be viewed 500 years from now. It's like writing a play about Queen Elisabeth I and her court. It could be funny, but any political jokes in it probably aren't going to be funny, because nobody cares anymore. I guess this is still fine, but keep in mind that very few people will actually find barbs at Bush funny, since they probably won't know that much about an ancient American president that didn't really do anything notable, except that he was around during 9-11, which people also might not remember.

1.) Fine 2.) Right, I'll do that 3.) Fine, they won't lead a socialist revolution, but Freak Boy is still including them in his book because it's HIS book. 4.) Thank you. 5.) Mostly the jokes aren't political; it makes fun of Bush's intelligence, drug abuse and alcoholism. Cheney's weight, shiny bald head and evil vindictive and greedy tactics, the fact that Sadaam did nothing, etc. etc.
Just look at the titles of the songs in the play and you'll know alot. The play does give some historical info before making fun of things though.

The point I am trying to make is that most people wouldn't have any idea what those jokes are about. It has been hundreds of years. They would have no frame of reference. It's like making fun of how big King Solomon's ears were. No one remembers whether he had big ears or not, because it's been hundreds of years. No one would remember an insignifigant, ancient leader's follies.
No one would remember a two-bit dictator like Saddam Hussein.

Then again, we didn't have photographs of King Solomon, where as Bush and Cheney are in more photos than I can count, be them drawn or actually photographs.
Let us not forget that Saddam's hero was Joseph Stalin and I think that in a Stalinist government he would probably be portrayed at least slightly as a victim of capitalist greed in the history books.
Besides, it's my play. Don't make me pull a deranged script writer move and climb onto a chandelier with my manuscript throwing eggs at the editors. lol

One of the reasons I set this in the future was to detach us from the political realities of today.
That this is far fetched and more fantasy.
So many references to today's politics would be indeed be hardly remembered.
Dean and Nader would be long forgotten.
That is all I will say about this.

400 Posts-- Bye Bye Compy: Freak Boy is paranoid and has it set up so that, should his computer be stolen, he can activate a self destruct device he installed within the confines of the comp. The files on that computer will then automatically be transferred to Freak Boy's other computers and/or sent to Bassarov or Zero's computer so that, in case something goes wrong on one of the transfers, he has backup files.

480 Posts- Spiritual Atunement: Freak Boy is not religious, on the contrary, it was atheism which led him to Marxism. However, ever since his near deaty experience, he is able to see ghosts and sense when the supernatural is near.
520 Posts- Astro Projection: Thanks to his first out of body experience, Freak Boy's spirit can now exit his body when he is in a state of meditation or asleep. While in spirit form he's most likely not seen by those who aren't in tune with spirits and the supernatural. He can enter peoples dreams in this ghostly form.
