Name: Sherman James Holmes
(More Commonly referred to as Sherlock.)
Age: 31
Race: Human
Nationality: British
Gender: Male
Alignment: Capitalist
Organization: FRA
Occupation: Private Investigator
Weapon: Small hand gun, used only if absolutely nessecary.
Stats:
intelligence: 300
strength: 150
charisma: 150
spirit: 000
defense: 100
endurance: 200
speed:100
powers:
Deduction: Holmes sees no more than the average person, he has just trained himself to notice what he sees. He can piece things together and logically figure things out faster than normal.
Skepticism: Holmes is not fooled easily by tricks. He won't believe it if he sees it, only if it can be proven. This makes him less easy to "pull the wool over his eyes" and he is immune to most religious and/or fear inducing attacks.
Mental Balance: Holmes does not lose it. He keeps a cool and clear head in tight spots, not letting anger or other emotions cloud his judgement in any way, shape or form.
++++++++++++++++++
Determination: When Holmes takes a case, he won't stop until he's solved it. He will deprive himself of many things, such as food so as not to waste blood flow on digestion, sleep so that he can maintain focus and not lose his train of thought, and other such things.
+++++++++++++++
Weaknesses:
Companionship: Holmes will put his loyalty to friends before himself. Should a friend of his be in danger, that would be all that is needed to assure his cooperation.
Nicotene: Often times, when on a case, tobacco from his pipe will have to substitute for food. This has, over the years, made Sherman one of the people who has "Nick-Fits".
appearance: He is tall and thin in apearance. Thanks to his friends who aptly dubbed him "Sherlock", he dresses like his namesake with the coat and double sided hat. He can many times be seen smoking his pipe. He has a strong chin, grey eyes and blonde hair.
Personality: Sherman is pretty easy going. However, when on a case, he can take on the most serious of attitudes. He enjoys practical jokes and his sense of humor is great but ocasionally ill-timed. He tends to not sweat the small stuff and just enjoy life while he can.
story: Holmes was born in London and grew up on Baker Street. Growing up as a kid, he developed a love for old mystery books. He was particularly fond of one detective. That's right, Sherlock Holmes. Living on Baker Street, young Holmes could visit the actual house of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle whenever he wished. The more Holmes read the books about Sherlock, the more he wanted to be just like him.
At age 12, he solved his first mystery. A set of cameras had been stolen from the school's photography lab. After interviewing various people as a journalist for the school paper, he found the answers he needed when he saw that Mr. Dubois was developing a slight irregular twitch in his right eye. It was a result of too much exposure to the dim light of a computer screen. Holmes got a confession out of him and the cameras were returned. It was then that his friends gave him the namesake "Sherlock".
Over the years, Holmes became a well known figure around his neighborhood. He helped where he could, investigating in things both big and small. He developed no hatred for Red Infinity by the time he graduated college and earned a masters in criminal psychology, law and logic.
In his mid twenties he had a life changing experience. His best friend, Dr. Michael Chorum, was tried for crimes against Red Infinity. This would be no big thing, but Chorum was innocent. Holmes, despite many attempts to prove this to Red Infinity, was ignored. He was not the law and Red Infinity didn't care whether he was guilty or not, they just needed to make an example of him for teaching classes from more than just one perspective. He was publicly executed and Holmes was, from then on, more aware of the flaws of Red Infinity and it's justice system.
That change in his paradigm led him to go back to college and get a degree in government. After looking through the various forms he decided on one he liked, Capitalism. With it's promotion of free enterprise, it only seemed natural for a P.I. to go for it.
A few more months of searching led Holmes to believe he found a purpose. Chorum died because of the flaws in the Justice System. So, Holmes hopes to make a difference by locking up the real criminals and taking them off the street. Aside from the goal to knock out crime, he hopes to defend the innocent and find those who REALLY DO deserve a public execution so that no one should have to suffer the same fate as Dr. Chorum.
