story:
Joukahainen was once a human who challenge Vainenmoinen to a singing contest and lost. He was a minor character in the Kalevala. After the events of the Kalevala he died in a battle against a dragon of Louhi which challenged his village. The villagers respected him so much that they created a special tomb for him. There his remains rested for thousands of years.
After Red Infinity discovered manala energy (shortly after the revolution) the government made many trips to Finland to find magical objects and to learn about the stories of events long forgotten. They collected magical Finnish artifacts for their own gains. It was during these early years after the discovery of Manala energy that the tomb of Joukahainen was discovered. His remains were brought to a Red Infinity laboratory, where it was determined that they were high in manala energy.
Nothing was done with his remains at this time. Instead, his remains stayed in a dark storage room for a few decades.
It was not until the discovery of Taivalans, a previously unknown race, that anyone took any interest in Joukahainen's remains. This is because it was revealed through the Taivalan Stone(a stone that outlined the history of the Taivalan race), that the Joukahainen of the kalevala was not a human at all, but actually a Taivalan in disguise. Because Taivalan's are so rare, they decided to make a clone of Joukahainen off of his remains.
Jouhakainen is the clone of his former self, and as anticipated, he was a Leshay. Since Leshay's are powerful, he has been assigned to work at the Ministry of Information as a security guard. His job is to make sure that no one breaks in and tries to steal Iris. His job is also to make sure Iris is comfortable and happy.
He is a communist because that is what he was raised to be and his goal in life is to serve Red Infinity.
