Bassarov is marched to breakfast, which as always is Kasha (Russian cream of wheat like breakfast food). Many times seemed that life is as flavourless as Kasha. Bassarov always starved for something more. This hunger drove him to socialism. So many times he hungered alone. How much suffering those pains of hunger brought him, and now, he hungers again. He will not eat what he has been fed. Some feast on the emptyness they are given, but Bassarov would not be a glutton for the status quo.

Mortis walks over to Surma's crystal ball and looks down on Earth and the other planets which have life on them. He sees war, destruction, disease, poverty, suffering, and violence in so many forms.

I report to the Ministry of Terror that Hope is likely dead. That is my official analysis of the situation. The only threat to Red Infinity's security seems to be a large bear, perhaps an Ursarian, who has been attacking the villages near Helsinki. I make an inquiry as to whether or not I am authorized to take care of the situation.
