Mortis to Surma:
"Sir...you could sneak down to Earth. I wouldn't tell anyone. But you would have to keep your identity and powers a secret. If Jumala Mythsta found out you were down there, he'd have you immortality and powers revoked."

"I've talked a great deal about myself, which I'm sure must bore you. I do love politics, in fact, it is and has always been my only love. So I am here, tortured and betrayed by my socialist lover. Yet, with all the wretched life left in me, I love her still. It is pathetic to the likes of you, I imagine. But enough of that. Tell me about yourself. You have no allegiance to a poltical ideal. Then what drives you?"

"Pain drives me," I say, "Pain and regret."
I feel vulnerable, this man who I have just met has crashed down my walls that keep me safe and alone and has brought me to a point of revealing some of who I am inside.
"That's quite enough talking, don't you think?" I say as I regain my composure and my defenses spring back into place.
I am a killer. This man has no desire for me, all he cares about is revolution and human utopia. What do I care of such things? I am not one of them and they shall pass.

"Pain and regret drives you. Those things also drive the world. But I am a revolutionary. The time is ripe for revolution."
(I'll be off for 5 minutes!)

"Revolution" I scoff.
It must be all he thinks about. "Your revolution has already failed, you admitted it yourself. Do you suppose that by trying again you would have a different outcome? I bore of this."
Why don't I just gut him, give him some real agony to think about, instead of this governmental swill? Why don't I open his veins and drink from his store, surely it would be a fine vintage? It is what I do. And yet there is something about him that causes me to hold my hand. The aggrivation.

Bassarov has tried his best to keep her distracted. She could kill him easily enough, but has not. There might be some hope in her and a way out of this situation. Bassarov thinks about his options and what he knows about his captor.
"A revolution comes in many forms. I wasn't refering to a revoltion of the state."

"Is that so?" I ask, still fighting the inner turmoil of whether or not to kill this man.

"It seems to me that you are a lonely person. I too am lonely, but lonely with a mission, and therefore content with my life. You confided in me more than you would most. If you kill me, what would you gain? A few moments of satisfaction to relieve a lifetime of pain. If you want some lasting change, I may have the answers. Change is my specialty. But if you are looking for a quick fix, then go ahead, do away with me," Bassarov says, almost daring her to make a move.

Lonely? If he only knew. If he knew what had happened to my family. If he knew how I wander alone, finding my only pleasure in taking the life of others. If he knew how many men had deceived me with dillusions of love.... My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Have you killed him yet?" asked the guard, opening the door and peering inside the cell. "Your orders are to kill the prisoner and then report in. Well, come on girlie, what are you waiting for?"
As quick as any answer could come, I came at him and ripped at his chest with my nails, and secured my fangs to his neck. His blood was bitter, but I drank my fill, letting the slack corpse fall to the cell floor in a pool of red.

Bassarov saw the massacre, and cringed as she fed off of his blood. The incident was a reminder of how deadly his captor was. Any delusions of somehow overtaking her quickly slid away. "I doubt they'll miss that one much," Bassarov tried to joke as he glanced at the guard's corpse.

Impertinant. I said as I wiped the blood from my chin. I do not follow orders. I chose this job for the excitement of the kill, not because I believe in the regime. I picked up a ring of keys from the dead guard and tossed them at Bassarov. This man was alluring to me. I am by no means his ally, but I wouldn't mind running into him again. As for me, I step out into the corriador and dissapear into shaddow.

Bassarov watches as the vampiress disappears into the darkness. Then he quickly snatches the keys and unlocks his shackles. Even with the keys, escape is unlikely. This is the Ministry of Terror, the strongest of the Ministries in Moscow. With the shackles gone and the door unlocked, Bassarov slips into the dark corridors, hoping to escape.

As an NPC to RedDove:
A young boy sees a strange being sitting in a tree. She is the most beautiful creature he has ever seen.
"What, what are you?"
