"How do you know my name? I don't think her and my relationship is any of your business anyways..." I say, annoyed. I catch my rudeness, and try to change my tone.
"I can just bring things up another time with her, she's obviously busy, It was nice meeting you, Alkonost."
I turn around, and begin to walk in the opposite direction.

i shake my head. "i never said anything about your relationship with swan..., and what is with running away?... the tovio i knew wouldnt do that...so it seems kascheis magic as more of a downside then you agreed upon... as for how i know your name... i know alot about you... and the rebels... after all... living for thousands of years does have its advantages"

"You are unbending on the issue, very well. In a strictly business fashion, I would recommend myself as your red herring, madame. I have a lot of respect in the public eye."

I stop, and turn around.
"You've lived for thousands of years, you say? Then you don't know what it's like to wake up, frail and weak in your own bed, every movement is a chore."
I turn back around, and continue walking. "The Toivo you knew has already run away. I'll bet you're right, living for thousands of years would have its advantages..."

"I did have my eye on Valmont, but you are right, you are much more subtle. The people would believe you. I hope Lin-Sat does not mind, but it is for our own good. I do care about him....which reminds me, I have to get going." I put on my coat and grab my purse.

"Lin-Sat may take things the wrong way, we just have to spin it right with him..."
I stand up with her.
"I'll show myself out. I'll begin right away on improving your public image. Do you want me to send you the final draft before I make any press releases, or do you trust me enough to send it directly to the press?"
I open the door for her.

"but it has its disavantages as well, your right., i never have been frail and weak. i wasnt created to be... but i am cold and bitter despite what i may act like... living for so long, you tend to realize it is pointless to try and care for anything... the only thing i care about on this planet is swan. and that is because we have known eachother for so long... and that we are alot alike"... i look back at the lake. " but to be mortal would be a treat to me... to actually age to be able to care about something without knowing how, or when it will be taken away, and to not be hunted... in away... you have it made... you lived more then most humans...though why you turned to kaschie is beyond me... there are lots of other ways to get something...".

"Just send it directly to the press, Mr. Futsu."
I smile at Futsu politely, then teleport to my home where my bath is ready. Lin-Sat may be an evil dictator, but he is awfully sweet at times.
"A long day of work, but I feel much happier now that I am here with you." I say to Lin-Sat.

"It's not all it's cracked up to be, Alkonost... I would gladly trade you my mortality... You seem much more benevolent than Kaschei is, maybe we could work something out." I say, half hoping to reverse this curse Kaschei has put on me.
"But maybe you're right..." I'm hurt that he's in love with her, and refuse to acknowledge this.
"True love extends beyond mortality." I clench my teeth, and squint my eyes to try and stifle back the tears. I turn around, and continue to walk away from Alkonost.
"I will most likely run into you again. It was nice meeting you."

I lay awake in bed and stare at the ceiling. I hear the rain pounding on the roof of my apartment, and dripping like lonely tears from my window pane.
Socrates, disappreared some time ago, and I have not seen him since. So I am alone.
I suppose it is good to have a room to think about the world and your place in it.

"alright... but immortality isnt impossible... not unless it is a human who gives you it...", i glance at him and grin then back to the lake

"You are not selling me on the vacation idea." I take off my clothes in front of him, and slip into the tub. It is nearly scalding, just the way I like it. Burn away the worry is what I say.
