Suzumi was speechless. Between Bassarov suddenly reutrning back and two new unexpected visitors, she couldn't really make head or tail of anything. She didn't like the way "Owl," was questioning Bassarov and Riku. It seemed more like an interrogation than anything. 'Why does he want to know about Kaieka anyway? I don't believe we should trust him too readily.' She didn't voice this opinion out loud, but merely sat and made herself comfortable on one of the sofas. She glanced at Riku, and saw an echo of the same opinion in his face.

"Never heard of it," says Peter, writing in his notebook, "And I'm questioning you like this because your a link to a possible witness to a violent crime. Finding Kaieka is my priority Mr. Shadow."

Suzumi piped up in a cool voice, "And just what do you intend to do once you have found her?" She narrowed her eyes. This Nielson fellow gave her an ominous feeling.

"I think it's about time you get out of my head, sir." Peter raises his mental sheilds ((see my newest power)) blocking Riku out of his mind.
He looks at Suzumi, "When I find her I intend to question her about the murder I think she saw."
He snaps the notebook shut, "Very well Mr. Shadow, if you want me out there's nothing I can do but go."

"I have no intention of trying to kill a man like yourself Mr. Matizumi. Nor do I intend to kill you friend. Good night to you." He nods to Suzumi, "Madam."
Peter turns and walks out, his face as blank as when he came in.

Peter stands on the corner of the street and looks back. For a moment he contemplates detenating the Lotus Mine under the floor of the villa but he decides against it.
Riku was human, even if he was disagreeable, and he understoof that Bassarov was human was well. He didn't kill humans except in diect threat situations.
Stopping he opens the door of a military issue converted jeep and starts it up.
"I suppose that could have gone better," says a voice behind him.
"Yes, yes it could. What have you got?"
"Not much. The watcher in Paris says a Vampire is visiting Marti."
"Marti is registered. He's not a threat target, the connection is moot."
"Not if the Vamp matches Kaieka's physcial." A hand reaches forward, holding out a file.
"Then," says Peter, taking the file, "I guess it's time for me to hop a plane."

Bassarov paces around the room. He is agitated. He summons his sickle, and touches the long silver blade nervously. For a long while he says nothing. He merely thinks.
"I fight for one thing, and one thing alone. That is revolution. Nothing else matters enough to fight for."
Bassarov is then quiet again for a few minutes longer. Nothing but social change matters. The existing order is the only thing worthy of Bassarov's hatred.
"It appears I will have to make a slight exception to that rule. I will not allow harm to come to Kaieka. I love her, and I am not about to allow that stranger to cause her injury...or worse. Even is she has cheated on me, I owe her my protection."
Bassarov is thoughtful once more. "I will go to Paris and attempt to find her before he does. I regret that I could not stay longer. Good bye."
Bassarov leaves the villa and goes to the airport. He is detained a few hours due to questions concerning his fake passport. Eventually he is allowed to board. However, he has already lost some time against her pursuer. The flight to Paris is short, but it is already dark. Finding Kaieka will be no easy task. Though he heard that Marti has a flat along the Seine River. He begins his search there.....

Kaschei has an intern remove Gelb Krapski's shriveled corpse. With that task done, Kaschei moves into Gleb's office. "Now, I am the Minister of Terror. How wonderful indeed. I think I should like to start giving people orders. Hmm...I will begin with Kith and Genovia. As I recall, Kith is in Switzerland. Perhaps I should give him a new set of orders!"
Kaschei calls Kith. "Hello Kith, while you've been gone I was given a promotion. I am now the Minister of Terror, so you follow my orders. Your orders are as follows. Riku is a traitor and I recieved direct orders from Beijing to have him killed. Your task is to do this at once!" Kaschei laughs at these fake orders. The result of this fight would be the elimination of one of his political enemies, perferably Kith, but more likely Riku. "If you distrust the validity of these orders, please feel free to verify them with Lin-Sat. However, he is not pleased with you and will not appreciate any more failures. You are the one who let Hope Dayspring escape afterall. I'm surprised they haven't sent someone to kill you yet! You are the true traitor....not Riku." Kaschei hangs up the phone and relishes his new power. He turns his attention to Genovia who is training downstairs. "She has been ever so eager for a mission. Too eager. She will regret ever wanting a mission now. I will send her to her doom!" Kaschei laughs.
He uses the intercom to give his orders to Genovia.
"There are some traitorous elves in our midst. They plot against Red Infinity. Since you are a strong and brave Ursarian, I want you to teach them a lesson. I am sure that you are strong enough to take on all four. Kith always praises your strength. I want you to find them, and kill them...but be sure to save their blood for me. It is useful as a spell component."
The elves are no threat to Red Infinity, in fact, they have proven themselves strong allies. Kachei simply wants to see Genovia killed. A gift for Kith when he returns from his own mission.

The sports car screams to a stop outside Marti's flat and Peter steps out of the driver's side door. Closing the door he walks towards the door, clicking on the car alarm with the remote attached to the keys.
He raps sharply on the door, waits fifteen seconds, then opens it. He steps quickly inside, looking around.
"Marti. Where are you. A condition of your registration is to present yourself if any Hunter requests you so you'd better not be hiding."
He moves into the house, his eyes darting from space to space, taking in everything. No one hiding in here. Marti must be out.
Peter looks at a fresh painting, butterflies. He picks up the brush and looks closely at it. Removing a small packet from his pocket he sprinks a small amount of white dust on the brush. Fingerprints show on the smooth wood. Peter pushes his glass up his face and raises the brush.
Text streaks across his glasses, image captures of the finger prints flashing across the lens.
"It's a match," he says, putting the brush down. "She's been here." He feels the paint, "A few hours ago at most." He taps the side of his glasses and the text wipes away.
"She'll be back. Beginning stake out processes."

Suzumi glanced at Riku, concerned. "I think we told him far too much." She surveyed the others slowly, focusing her gaze on each one of them for a moment. "Should we stay here, or try to follow? Kaieka and Bassarov will proably require our assistance if that man was lying." The illusion of her human form, which she had instinctively cast when the unexpected visitor came, quickly dissappated. 'I fear that I have gotten lax.' She awaited their replies, with an face devoid of expression. ((Alright, the problem's with my home computer. Hopefully it's only temporary.))

I hand out bowls of soup to the needy. There are so many. It is hard to come by food to give to them, the soup is little more than potatoes and leeks in a watery broth, but they take the bowls as if they contain the very elixer of life. Every day I do this, trying to combat the ever growing evil that spreads throughout the land. Trying to take care of the less fortunate, to help the people.
Lady Violet gives speeches about the people. How they are what matters. She is right. They are what matters, but Red Infinity leaves them to starve. There must be a change, an internal stirring in the hearts of mankind. Only through this will the world be changed.
The soup is gone. A line of hungry people remain behind. I have to give them the bad news, there will be no more soup today. The faces that turn from me are lined with sadness and hunger. I feel such pain as even children are turned away unfed. I will try to find more food tomorrow.. the stores are so empty. It is hard to find enough. It seems like there will never be enough.
I put my hand into my pocket and grasp the familiar beads, running my thumb over their roundness. They bring me comfort, they can bring comfort to others... "Hail Mary, full of grace..."
Red Infinity can try to end religion, but internal faith will always live on in the hearts of mankind... it will be our redemption.
