I smile at Peter, and try to be polite. In all truth, I would like nothing more than to see LIF wiped off of the face of the Earth. But I must be more diplomatic than that.

I think about the things that Lady Violet has just said. False beliefs, that is what she called them. It is too bad that people cannot see what real truth is. Another aspect of Lady Violet's words makes me think as well. Aries...
Peter enters the kitchen, with another man right behind him. He seems flustered. I am happy to see him. I have missed him. I return my attention to Lady Violet.
"Mam, do you think that Aries would be a good worker here? Do you think that he would be devoted enough to stay and serve the poor?"
I hope in my heart that her answer is yes. I want to believe in Aries, and that he can possess the goodness that he speaks of.

Peter shakes his head, "Lady Violet I can not let a Dragon roam the world at will, no matter who it works for. As for..."
He stops, touching his glasses. He remains silent for a full minute then looks at Violet.
"It... it seems that orders have been handed down from headquarters. Your Dragon is no longer considered dangerous."
Peter's mouth twitches, almost smiling. He looks like he's trying to remember how to smile.
"Chastity, I don't think that Aries is the best choice to run a food kitchen..."
TELL HER ABOUT THE BODIES! DOZENS DEAD! EATEN!
"He... he doesn't seem to like people much..."

I turn to Virgal.
"Yes, I am indeed second in command of Red Infinity, though I take a more active role in our affairs than honorable Lin-Sat."
I smile at this statement, since I am the public face of Red Infinity, and take on ten times the work load of my dictator counterpart.
I look at Chastity.
"Yes, Aries will do well here. I think he could learn a lot by working here. I want to teach him a lesson. Anyway, he is a good worker and he has rarely failed in a mission. I doubt that this would be any different."

The conflicting messages hit me. Peter telling me of Aries' dislike for people, Lady Violet's complimenting him on his work ethic. I can only go off of what I have seen. It isn't fair to judge him otherwise.
"Aries seems very friendly to me. He has shown that he is strong and hardworking. Peter, he helped me to move the furniture in here."
I look at the other man.
"I am sorry sir, I didn't mean to be impolite. My name is Chastity. You wouldn't have heard of me."

I am uncertain if Peter will recieve the telepathic message. He seems to have a mental barriar. Never the less I send it to him.
I smile and think:
'Peter, I am capable of handling all of this myself. No harm will come to Chastity. I have given you my word and I am a woman of honor. Please do not tell her of the dragon's crimes. I will deal with him myself and there is no reason to cause her distress. If anything happens to her, I will take full responsibility. He is one of my operatives after all.
"Chastity, if you like, I can take you to Beijing. You would be safe there under my protection. Otherwise, I have other duties to attend to and must soon leave."

Virgal throws back his head and laughs, "Peter, you soft bastard. Worried about her feelings or something?"
He waves the folder of pictures and files. "Hey Mrs. Pure and Innocent, want to she some picture of your new friend's work?"
He tosses the folder on the table. Murder reports, victim files, and dozens of crime scene photos spill across the table. All of the photos have blood, some with torn bodies some are just huge pools of blood.
"He a f**king Dragon. You leave him in charge and this place will go from a soup kitchen to doing a snack bar." Virgal laughs, pushing a image of a extra mangled corpse towards Chastity.
"This how you help people?"

The photos spill out across the table. I can see the bodies of many people, bloodied and mangled. I start to feel woosey and lean against a chair for support. My body starts to dry heave, as there is nothing in my stomach for it to lose.
That can't have been Aries. I cannot believe it. He is so kind. I know that I have had doubts about him, but I cannot believe that he would do something so horrible.
"Put them away, please."
I turn around and face the wall, but direct my comments toward Lady Violet.
"Thank you, but my place is here with the people. I have other means of protection... ones that you wouldn't understand. But thank you."
