I stand up from my chair and turn to look at Peter's sleeping form, lying on the bed. He is so interesting, very intriguing. I walk around the room for awhile and then finally decide to go outside. I feel like getting some fresh air. I grab my pack, hoisting it over my shoulder, and head for the door. The silver beam still surrounds it. I don't quite know if it is safe or not, but as I reach out my hand to approach it, it seems that I can pass through it. I open the door and walk down the hall.
I feel slightly bad for leaving Peter alone, but with all of the wounds that he has sustained, he will probably be sleeping for awhile. I felt funny watching him sleep anyway.
The air is cool and crisp outside. I pull my light jacket tighter around me as I start to stroll down the street. I don't really have a destination in mind, I just need to clear my head. I look up, the stars are bright in the night sky above me. I think of how God so lovingly placed each one. It makes me smile. I do not smile to often. There is much that lies heavy on my heart.
I continue to walk.

-I see her, the holy woman. I walk over to her.
-"Praise be to God, I have found you. Small miracles happen everyday."
-I fold my hands and turn my head toward the sky in reverence.
-"You should not walk alone at night. It is...dangerous. Let me walk with you, as a service to you...and to your God."

Peter's eyes twitch. He shifts in his sleep. Something is starting his memories... some sound is filling his head. It's so familiar...
White pain blinds him, filling his sleep with pain and confusion. The song...the song hurts! Peter's eyes snap opens and he is sitting up, gun in hand, leveled at where Chastity was.
He freezes, confused, in pain, and lost. He drops the gun and graps his head.
"WHY!" He shouts, shaking his head. Something is burning inside his skull, molten lead is flowing in his brain. Through it he can see images. Stained glass, people in rows of benches, crosses. He can hear singing. Around him he sees people but their faces are blank.
And it's gone. Peter sits in the bed, sweat dripping down his face. He's feeling something he hasn't felt in a very, very long time: he feels afraid.

My thoughts are shattered by a familiar voice. I turn with a start to see the dragon. My pace quickens.
"I.. I should be getting back. Really. You don't need to walk with me. Did you find your sister?"
I do not believe that he ever had a sister. He feels evil. Everything inside of me is telling me to run away, but my feet keep pounding an even pace. I should not have left the hotel room.

Peter looks up. Chastity is gone. He stands and looks around. He rasies a hand to his glass's frim. She's moved and.... the Dragon!
Peter is in motion in a flash, straight at the window of the room. He leaps, smashing through the glass and dropping to the street below. He slams down, landing on his feet.
He turns and runs, heading for Chastity's signal. His coat billows behind him, the cold wind whipping against his bare upper body.

-"Why do you fear me. Your small body trembles so...and I have done nothing to you. Why can't you trust me? I am deeply hurt. Does your religion teach you fear? Does it teach you to be a skeptic. "
-I place my hand on her shoulder.
-"J'esus loved those....who others would not. He did not run away from the sinners."
-I smile at her.
-"We are all sinners...but you can help me."

It is true. He ate with the tax collecters and prostitutes, those that were considered the basest and lowest. I turn my gaze to him. Everyone deserves a chance. If he really were to believe...
"What would you have me do? What help could one such as I provide?"

-"Some evil people know what I am and want to hurt me. I have done bad in the past, but I repent....I repent. I want to change. I want to be good."
-I look at the sky
-"Pray for me, and my salvation. Pray for those who want to harm me. They are wrong about me."
-My eyes become watery.
-I put my hand on her back
-"Pray for me that I will be saved."

I feel bad for thinking such bad thoughts about him. He really does want to change.

-"You have a kind and pure heart. It is so rare these times. I feel so hated and alone."
-I embrace her.
-I look at her soft pale skin and desire to eat her right now. To lick her with my forked tongue and relish each morsel of her tender flesh.

-"She is safe at home. I just went out to enjoy the night. I love the night sky. It reminds me of how great our creator is."
-She does not move away from my embrace, strange since she is a holy woman. She must truly trust me. What an unusual feeling that is.

Peter appaear from the darkness, catching Aristarchus by the back of the neck and pulling him off Chastity.
The Hunter throws the man backwards, stepping between him and the woman, moving slowly towards the Dragon.
"Chastity, I know what the teachings say but this is a slightly different situation."

"Peter, do not be so rough with him. He seems evil, I know. But there has to be some good in him. He wants to change." I see Aries crouch on the ground where Peter threw him.
"There must be an allowance for mercy. People can change. It is the very essence of what I believe."

-"Do not worry about me, a poor sinner, Chastity. Let him judge me as he will."
-I back away from them.
-"Peter....perhaps you should be called Thomas...doubting...faithless....."
-I look to the ground.
_"I should expect this. But are you sinless Peter? Judge not lest ye be judged for with which measure ye mete ye shall be....(my voice trails off. Working for the League of the Godless has its perks. I am familiar with religions.)
