Jareth looks around the office and is taken aback by Kashei's entrance. She had never before seen that type of magic. Would she too weild magic like that? It intrigued her how quickly things changed for her in this office this morning.
Yet she was also uneasy at the smile Kashei gave the party leader, Lady Violet, as he revealed that he had altenate plans for her.
"I wonder what mission is important enough to take me away from the party leaders agenda?" Jareth asked herself. "Whatever it is i shall not falter, i will make my late parents proud! For this is what they wanted for me, so i was told."
And there she waited for this mysterious sorcerer to give out her orders.

I hear Genovia's footsteps in the hall. She is back. She is right. I should not have left the fight. It was cowardly. Well, I won't give up so easily. I do care about her, and if I must compete with that angel over her so be it. I will not just let him have her. I brought her here. I took her to the symphony and trained her for endless hours. My efforts we not in vain.
I leave my office to talk to her.
"I know you don't care about me Genovia, but I am taking your advice. I will not give up. That is weak. I will not give up on you....even if you care about that angel. There must be some way that I can prove that I really do care and that I am sorry for neglecting you."

We head toward the mountain. The air is warm and sweet. It feels heavy, as though it may rain at some point. I breathe it in and feel refreshed. We walk for awhile, not speaking, just enjoying the sights and sounds around us. We walk on a path that cuts throught the thick greenery. Exotic birds fly about, singing their interesting tunes.
Finally, we near the base of the mountain. It's rocky peak juts up into the air above. We start to ascend. The going is easy at first... the ground at the base of the mountain is not as steep as that at the top.

Kaschei grabs the young woman by the arm and teleports her to the Ministry of Terror. He takes her to his library. It is filled with ancient spell books bound in the flesh of monsters, trolls, elves, and men. The room is dark, lightned only by white candles, some of which rest on human skulls.
"I am Kaschei, the immortal sorcerer. The bird of Prophesy, Gamayun, foretold that when I die, the world will die with me. I am the Minister of Terror, or the head of this Ministry."
He pulls a red egg from off of a shelf. He goes to a drawer and pulls out a ruby amulet. It is inside a small black box painted with white flowers.
"There are too many rebels in Switzerland and this concerns me. Riku is alone there. We need to send another operative. To assist him of course. You mission is to report to Switzerland and spy on the rebels....and on Riku...who I fear may be a traitor."
Kaschei puts the red egg in her hands, and places the amulet around her neck.
"These times with help you in your mission. The egg is the Fire Egg of Kullervo. To use it, hold it before you and say that you call forth Kullervo. His soul is in the egg, and he will aid you in battle. His is the great fire mage. The necklace allows you to teleport great distances. You can not use it for short ones, since it is made for traveling and not for battle. You can use it to travel between my office and the villa in Switzerland."
Kaschei smiles, having given her the tools she will need for the mission.
"Do you have any questions? If not, you may begin the task I have given to you."

Bassarov and Kaieka hike higher and higher. As they ascend, the lush trees turn to squat shrubs, then to gray rock. The climbing gets harder as the incline gets steeper and the air becomes thinner.
They stop and drink some water. Bassarov is surprised by how high they have already climb. Despite this, the top seems ever distant, and the ruins up there, impossible to see.
Some French tourists walk past them, and throw some litter on the mountain trail. The remains of some cheese and a croissant.
Suddenly one slips and falls. Bassarov watches as the man tumbles down the mountain, bumping his head on craggy rocks.
"We had better be careful, Kaieka."
The ground is rocky a loose. It would be easy to slip.
